How far would he make it? Would he score a belt? How would he do against the Klitschkos?

Someone of his size would always have a puncher's chance. But he never moved too quickly, even when he was in shape, and the K Bros would make his face puffier than when he fought Moorer. But for historical purposes, it would be badass for a 50-some year old man to be HW Champ. Hell, he could always go for the WBA belt vs. quality opposition like Valueless (now that the belt isn't on the line between Valueless and Haye).

I believe that he would be worse off, the champs during his comeback were Tommy Morrison, Evander Holyfeild and Michael Moorer. Tommy was great but often untrained, Evander was tiny at the time and Moorer was nothing special. The Klitchkos are much better fighters then those 3 and George lost to both Holyfeild and Morrison and knocked Moorer out while being desperatly behind.

He would be champion right now without a doubt! Time seems to make you forget his power, and ring knowledge. I would say neither of the Klits hit even 75% of the punch power george had. and they could definately wins rounds , but eventually there probably gonna get hit. Also to beat foreman you couldnt be scared, and both of them would be, especially Vlad!

I'm sorry. I do not agree. But the reason that I am putting you on my ignore list is not that you seem unreasonable. It is the avatar.

It reminds me of too many drunk nights when I thought "Ah well, my friends will never find out."

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Forget the Foreman question. What about the belt not being on the line for Haye V. Valuev anymore? I completely missed that, do you have a link to that?

I like Wladdy, and argue that he is indeed a great champ, but comeback Foreman would give him all he could handle.

Even his poleax jab would be a big test for the Dr.

Vitali or Vlad would knock Foreman out.

Man, I love Foreman but this is delusional. Axel Schulz gave Foreman all sorts of trouble and Foreman's power didn't even rock Schulz. What did Wlad do to Schulz at age 23 when he was not yet the fully developed fighting machine he is now? Wlad and Vitali are able to go through an entire fight without making a serious mistake. Foreman picked Moorer for a title shot because he knew Moorer was prone to make mistakes, he predicted how in the later rounds, Moorer would stand in front of him. Besides, Foreman's style was not designed to get inside of a taller fighter. Foreman is the same height as Gomez with shorter arms and less movement, he would th dwarfed by the Klit brothers and kept on the end of the jab all night.

Foreman wouldnt win a belt nowadays, no way he beats one of the Klits. Thats pure nonsense.

The Foreman comeback was one of the best sentimental stories in boxing history. Of course he didn't take much punishment in his first career, mostly quick KO wins, had ten years off so he was fresh and was a puncher who never relied on skills and movement, attributes that go missing long before power. He did really well for an old man at a time when fighters over 40 years of age where not as common as they are today. Still, he was cleary not the best HW in the world, even when he won the title from Moorer. The smaller Moorer outboxed hom for nine rounds, better than Holyfield did three years earlier and gave Foreman a chance to land that perfect punch with his unwillingness to listen to his corner. Foreman then picked Schulz, ranked Nr. 12 in the world for his title defense and needed a gift decision to win that fight. Schulz could never beat a world class fighter, he lost to Akinwande, Moorer, Botha and his career was ended with a brutal KO loss to Wlad who won every minute of every round in that fight. Foreman was really beaten up in a points win over Smith and had one more good outing in his last fight against a very sluggish looking Briggs, who won on a gift decision.

There is simply nothing in Foreman's comeback to make me think he would stand a chance against either Klitschko brother.
