If you think I believe Holyfield is "white as snow", because he is a christian, then it is obvious you have difficulty understanding the religion.

Holyfield is no saint. He had many problems including his financial troubles, infidelity, etc. However, he's always been open about his shortcomings which is exactly what a define as "character".

As for him being a dirty fighter, I find it laughable. I guess it was Holyfield's fault Mike Tyson bit his ear off, too. H

ave you ever hit any one with your head? Nobody wins. It's silly really to think he would openly try to headbutt people.

As for elbows and low blows, I don't even know where you get that from. Every fighter throws low accidentally every now and then, and I've never heard anyone but people with an agenda against the man call him dirty.

You can believe what you want to believe. I just find it very convenient for you to be so sure he did steroids when you clearly have personal issues with the man.

Anyone imagine Jack Dempsey fighting today ? He basically had the same build as Holyfield at cruiser ...

Oh, and it's pretty ignorant to say Roy Jones, Jr. took steroids. I guess you are referring to when he defeated Richard Hall in 2000, both he and Hall tested positive for the androstenedione, a substance banned by the IBF. Jones admitted taking a produce named “Ripped Fuel” which contained androstenedione, a natural hormone which was available over the counter until 2004 when it was made illegal by the FDA.

His post fight results never yielded another positive result for any banned substance.

If you think a pill called Rpped Fuel equals being on steroids, then I would imagine everyone should be considered to be on steroids at that as that supplement was very, very popular.

    Golota (Spelling)?

:nono Tyson is still a likely candidate. Not as obvious as Holyfield but certainly viable post prison. Don't go on 1 bantering extreme and go back to act as if Tyson was clean. Reports are that he left jail around 190-200 pounds. Nobody likes double standards. And you're not going to come as credible with such incosistency and drastic blatant biasedness.

truth............ Mike took a MGH after his release from jail because his body was so ill from bad diet and muscle deterioration.. Evander used Steroids after the Holmes fight. look at his body.. These are just facts ,.. but they are amongst millions of other cats who do it in more massive doses.........

    I've heard that theory before.

All I can say is, I prefer not to believe it. An incorrect training program could've caused similar problems for instance, I seem to remember someone here mentioning that Holyfield had done a lot of weight-lifting for Bowe III and they thought that was totally the wrong thing to do.

Still, it is a theory I've heard.

If you butt one guy in the nose with your forehead, believe it's not a "no one wins" situation. Watch round 3 of Lewis-Holyfield I, the round that God told 'Vander that he was going to score a knockout. He couldn't get through, so he threw in a blatant headbutt followed by some punches.

    1. Adultery is frowned upon by christians isnt it? If Evander's allowed to do it then I truly dont understand the religion.

    2. Holyfield has repeatedly fouled in lots of his fights. Round three against Lewis being a great example.

    3. Its very convenient because its absolutley true.
...and thats exactly why people do have personal issues with the man.

You might be right about Holyfield but I dont understand why you'd rule out steroid use in Tyson's case, ESPECIALLY later in his career when he was in decline and no longer had the discipline of his youth. There's absolutely no reason for Tyson NOT to take roids, that's one way of looking at it. Just to help his training.
Tyson's physique in the McNeeley fight was unreal, and it was never like that before or since.

Also, you exaggerate the degree of Holyfield's likely use. If Holyfield was as big a juicer as some claim I wonder why he stayed at 210-215 pounds. People talk as if he was some roid monster, but he put on 20 pounds from cruiser quickly but then just levelled out for about the last 20 years !
If he was a mad 'roid beast he'd be as big as other guys his height, like Rahman. Look at the lean weight Bruno, Ruddock and Shannon Briggs put on in their careers, that's more extreme.

    Holyfield was a dirty fighter.
But Tyson and Lewis were just as bad.
Anyone who says otherwise is deluded.

i always say , in Boxing you are in a fight.. Fights involve grey areas because a lot of emotions are involved.. Dark tricks happen when men get desperate.. head buts , low blows , elbows.. its all part of the game and the men involved will tell you just the same truth be told..

3:06, you tell me that wasn't deliberate. Holyfield almost always kept the top of his head into the other guy's face. He also was not shy about hitting you low or working his elbows in.

    1. What I'm saying is from a Christian point of view, a sin is a sin AND everyone is a sinner.

    2. Headbutts happen.

Oh please. Don't tell me you're so deluded that you think Holyfield's headbutting is accidental?

I don't really see the problem in admitting this either, even if you're a die-hard Holyfield fan. Let's face it, every great champion has a dirty trick. Frazier hit the hips. Ali held behind the head. Foreman hit low. Lewis was holding and hitting. Marciano hit low and sometimes elbows. Tyson did all of those. Holmes thumbed..... and Holyfield headbutted. Simple as that.

Isn't the way it's supposed to be..... but it's the way it is.
