I have Duran on tape claiming he would have won if he trained harder for bout ... he was not a total sport ..

I'm not so sure you understand much about Duran. The Duran stereotype maybe, the Duran image in the press, but not the man Duran. He was not the pure animal you and your nickname out here are suggesting.

He didn't fear fighters, but he had plenty of fear... and plenty of compassion, for his countrymen, for the poor, for individuals. He was part of the group that had put up a headstone for Gavilan. Ask robbi for a picture of Duran and DeJesus when the latter was dying of AIDs. Finally he didn't just fight for pay... he fought early on because he was hungry and aggressive and proud and because he had to eat, and after that for not just money but also because he had no other skills!

Oh so YOU do now Duran do you eh, yer wanker:lol:

I'am going too well & truly put you in your place you cheeky conceited little *****:fire You're absolutly ****in CLUELESS & this post of yours just confirms that you know absolutly nothing about real life & proberbly never will.

Don't you ever ****in go preaching/lecturing to me about Roberto Duran you zero in shoes, there's absolutly nothing the likes of you or you're keyboard warrier ilk can tell me about Roberto Duran what i don't already now, i've been following him for 35 years now & thats proberbly more years than you've been alive & i've had the god almighty privalige of meeting/eating/drinking/laughing with the great man & we hardly touched on boxing & the next time Duran is coming too the UK we'll be promoting one of his Q/A shows in my home town & i'll bare you in mind & if you're a really good boy i may even allow you too sit on Roberto's lap so you can have yer pic taken sonnyboy.

Oh, next time let robbi know you're going to use him as a quote will yer as i don't think he'll apprieciate you getting him into a row with me on this issue.

So consider yerself EXPOSED you little twat & get rid of that stonehands handle of your's as yer not real Duran fan, you're a modern day counterfiet:smoke

Duran always made excuses for his losses, i didn't know about this one til i saw the vid. Of course he was a winner and winners can find it very difficult to accept defeat, but sometimes it gets out of hand, the stories that come out of Duran circles, in my opinion. I mean it is actually believable that he partied plenty and it threw him off and whatever, but like i say, it can get out of hand.

Duranimal: I'm open to hearing and learning ... tell us how you know Duran and some of your thoughts on spending time with him ...

All fighters fight for the money. Dempsey made that clear as day and said so many times ... outside the ring it is reported that Duran was influenced by his love of his people in Panama. He did show some remorse for a dying DeJesus but there is obviously much more to the man ... fill us in ...

To be honest, i'd use the comparison of Pacman vs Paul Williams as the closest form of similarity to the Duran/Hearns fight, albeit any version of Hearns punched MUCH harder than PW does.....For a past prime Duran to enter the ring with a prime Hearns shows you the kind of true warrior he is....

I do doubt that Duran fought for the money when he was something like 40-50 years old. Did he have any money problems?

To take the bombs that he took from Jorge Castro without going down at 47 years of age he either had to be paid a lot or perhaps he just loved the sport.
