Ok ive put this off for long enough but i respect Lennox Lewis as a fighter for his ability and he seems to be a real nice guy in his interview in this months the ring magazine and any others i have seen. I think i never liked Lennox because of him beating tyson so late in his career and for not rematching Vitali after their fight. So would someone please post some highlight vids or suggest some fights that would change my opinion of lennox And please neither of the 2 fights i have mentioned
The Shannon Briggs fight, Hasim Rahman II, Michael Grant, Andrew Golota. You should enjoy that lot, Lewis at his best. There all on Youtube you'll have to find them yourself though I cant be arsed.
Rahman II and Michael Grant for definite. Razor Ruddock and Tommy Morrison are good performances too. You cant dislike Lewis for taking on Tyson too late. He was just starting out when Mike was in his prime and I think he could comfortably deal with any Tyson post prison. As for the Klitschko fight, Lewis was 38, not in great shape, ready to retire and did beat Vitali fair and square. There are people who might argue with that but remember the state of his face? If he didnt want the fight to be stopped he shouldnt of got in the way of so many punches! Why bother with a rematch. If you were Lennox, would you?
C'mon killed? Thats gotta be the most overused term on this forum, Klitschko was having a good fight but he wasnt killing anybody. In fact he was the one looking like a murder victim.
I myself think he probably would have lost but it would be age as much as anything. Lewis started badly in their fight but he'd turned it around by the time of the stoppage, Klitschko was almost out in the sixth.
Lewis doesn't need more fans so you should remain Vitalis or Wlads fan. is simple if you don't like a fighter thre is no use to try to like him.
Couldn't have said it better myself. Funny with Lewis, people often forget how fast he was when he was younger, then as he got older he naturally got slower, but he technically became better. Together this explains his longivity. If he had both of those attributes working together, he'd make a hell of an agrument for being the best ever!!
yawn vitali lost to an old lewis so imagine what a young lewis would have did to him point blank.. i get tired of people making careers out of beating old out of their prime fighters
You can't become a fan by being "convinced". One of the reason Lewis isnt more popular than he is, besides the fight style, is his personality, or lack there of, Lennox Lewis great boxer, not ATG! Boring personality and not that bright either! Come on guys we all watch HBO! The guy is a ****** ,terrible fight analysis ,the only thing that gets him by is the accent! look it up ... tyson's camp ducked a young lewis lol... thats something that not too many peope know.. and i think a young lewis would have gave it too tyson... remember ruddock took a young tyson too the limit.. and a young lewis dismantled ruddock within a couple rounds
lol not an all time atg??? r u serious.. lewis beat everyone put in front him... everyone!! not too many boxers can say that especially with the level of competition he faced... and both his losses were soundly avenged.... look at the resume of fighters he fought... definitely an all time great
