Froch, and a younger less experienced version too, looked world class against the subpar porras. He looked right at home fighting in the u.s against a more experienced pro than himself, and handled the occasion well. However, porras is about half the speed of dirrell and about the same power. I've been saying all along than carl stops andre, and i'm sticking to it. Froch is too much man for dirrell.

I mean, I have Froch winning this one too (I think he will stop Dirrell but be down on the cards at the time), but your blueprint for beating him is Carl's fight with Porras? Hate to be the one to break this to ya, but Dirrell wouldnt lose a round to Porras.

exactly i say froch does dirrell between rounds 4-6. the best andre can do is run like matthew barny an b ultra negative but froch will jus beat him up later on. but ive watched dirrel i think hel b drwn into the machismo by froch as he likes to swing wild.
did u other guys watch the fight? henry porras then was still live an dangerous and it was in the u.s watch the fight tell me wat u fink of froch then?

 

Good fight. Froch must have the longest arms on the planet - they go to his knees and his reach will continue to create problems.. and allow him to hold his hands lower than his (ok, but not stellar) speed seems to allow for.

 

Froch is too slow with his hands and feet to catch Dirrell. Dirrell will pick him off from the outside all night long or until Froch gets stopped, which btw I think is a very possible outcome of the fight.

 

Exactly , people need to understand that Carl has NO ADVANTAGES other than maybe power and experience, apart from those two things he's behind Andre in every other department i.e reach, height, speed, technical ability, movement, combinations etc, not to mention he's a southpaw which Carl hasn't faced since 2006, Dirrell has every chance of beating Carl if he sticks to the game plan, this fight could easily turn out like the Marg vs Williams fight imo.

 

oh and the big advantage that Dirrell shits himself under the slightest bit of pressure, and has fought no-one to validate being anything other than just another American hype job, hes tooled up to the nines for a big fall in Nottingham.

 

"Shits himself"? atsch , the man has been making his way up so of course there's gonna be a few bumps on the road, but the bottom line is he's waaaaaaaayyyyyy more talented than "the cobra" and if Andre's focused he should have no problems taking out that stationary robot from Nottingham.

 

i actually dnt think he is more talented he dosent have the arsenal and range of shots froch has an throughs hes just a super middle version of larry holmes good jab and abit fleet footed thats it an the occasional right hand that isnt really that hard. he dnt throw body shots he dnt do hooks unless wildly and he dnt do uppercuts froch does all shots.
