he can beat froch, and taylor. maybe dirrell. don't think he can beat kessler, or abraham, or ward. 3-3- not too bad.

    Always forwards never backwards..
Besides Jones Jr. prob can't even spell Super middleweight anymore & be healthy.
(Unless they would have to move up to LHW)

    Kessler will beat Roy
    AA will probably stop Roy
    Ward will also beat Roy
Dirrel might beat Roy in a close contest
Froch will beat Roy in a UD
    Taylor will also beat Roy
0-6 and this is coming from a huge RJ fan

We all need 2 except that Superman has met his krytonite and hes neva coming back

I'm going to say this again ... a faded Roy Jones is better than at least 80% of the fighters at or around his weight class.

He beats all those fighters ... neither of whom have that special quality (yet) to beat any form of Roy Jones.

He only has 5 L's in 55 fights ... damn you look at the old time fighters who fought well into their 40's and had waay more than 5 L's ... it just seems like now days you lose a couple of times and you're written off.

I don't see anyone in the super middleweight division beating him ... and I don't see 95% of the light heavyweights beating him.

Roy is still in great shape ... he's still very aware ... he's experienced everything from a loss, to being knocked out, to being the best fighter on the planet. He knows how to survive, he knows how to get by, and all throughout his career has won.

Those guys would get killed by a 50 yr old Jones ... he's more talented than them and he has waaaay more experience ... he's seen things that they have yet to see and one thing about it is he knows how to win and he's seen what it was like to lose.

*Ward (isn't talented enough ... took him 5 yrs to get a title shot after winning a Gold Medal and no former titlist on his resume)
*Dirrell (too in experienced would get taken deep and drowned)
*Abraham (would get out boxed and probably have his career ruined)
*Froch (same thing as Abraham, lack of skill, lack of ability)
Taylor (still fighting the "ghost" of the ghost)
*Kessler (only stellar name on his resume is Calzaghe and he lost that fight)

*= would be shook off the introduction of Jones ... would be in awe of Jones ... and would show too much respect for Jones

Those guys don't have the same things as the guys who beat Jones ... he would make fools of these guys.

Froch, kessler, ward, aa would all likely stop (TKO) him. I think against dirrell it would be a close decision either way. JT is a good style match for him, cant work for a full 12 rds and takes time off so I see RJJ takign a decision in this one.

Kind of a shitty thread. In his day he beats them all on the same night, then goes and plays a CBA game.

Roy Jones might not be as fast ... he might not be as sharp, but **** he's 40 yrs old ... and he's still better that 80% (or more) of fighters from 160-175

He'd lose to the majority of them. Sorry fellas but this RJJ hyperbole after beating the most shot fighter in existence is going a little overboard.

We should all appreciate what he gave us instead of trying to find "what if" scenarios for him to beat any of the current guys.
