His cardio is much better and his hands are better. But yeah he was overrated after the Nog fight, since thatwas the worse version of Big Nog.

We should see a better Nogueira next week.

What does everyone think about the part in the article about 5 round non-title fights? I think it's a good idea for main events and even co-main events, if you're good enough to headline a card you should be training for 5 rounds anyway.

I'm sick of seeing MMA fighter's gassing in the first round.

Mir isnt very good and hes good on the ground but you have to get it there first. Mir doesnt have great takedowns.

If Silva is going to win at HW, Mir is probably the best guy to face.

Mir is just a slightly above average fighter who is grossly overhyped for pulling a submission out of his ass against a 1-0 Lesnar and beating the worst Nog ive ever seen.

Can you imagine if Lutter had to go 5 rounds? Even worse, imagine 5 rounds from Coleman/Rua.

This is a bad idea. MMA fans attention spans are short as is.

Coleman/Rua wasn't a main event (thankfully), I'm talking about 5 rounds in the main event if it happens to not be a title fight.

When does Mir really struggle for takedowns ? Hes 240 pounds believe me if he wants to take down a Middleweight with NO takedown defense he will. Almost every fight Anderson Silva is in if its vs Franklin the 2nd time around,Henderson,Leites,Lutter,Marquardt,Okami hell even Alexander Otsaka several times you see him on his back at some point to suggest Mir couldnt do it is pretty stupid.

    Never been sold on Mir.

His main victories are over a overated fighter in Pete Williams who only beat Coleman because of Colemans shitty cardio.

A victory over a green Brock, in which i think Brock panicked and tapped to early, and finally a victory over a walking corpse in Nog.

    He has lost to Freeman...badly.

    He lost to Vera....badly.

He lost to Pe De Pano....badly.

    He lost to Lesnar...badly.

In probably his two biggest wins prior to his Brock win, he struggled twice against Wes ****ing Sims:lol:

I think this is a very smart move by Silva's team if they take this fight.

First off as far as that first Wes Sims fight Mir would have got up whipped Sims ass if not for the illegal foot stomps to the face. Frank wasn't training like a real pro athlete back then and still KTFO of Sims in the rematch when he was tired as sh*t.

Pe De Pano? Was Mir's first fight back after breaking his leg and had a long layoff. If you really believe Pe De Pano beat the real Mir then you're crazy. He'd smash Pe De Pano into dust now.

Vera? Hey Vera was on a hell of a roll then and caught Frank with some good sh*t. Mir still didn't have it mentally. His fight before that was against Dan Christensen and Mir looked like he was 300 pounds of pudge. But losing to Vera is nothing to be ashamed of.

Freeman? Was a good fighter in his day and Mir was young and extremely arrogant at that time. Gave Mir his first loss. So what.

You think Brock tapped to early? YOU CLEARLY HAVE NOT HAD A KNEEBAR APPLIED ON YOU:lol:

Pete Williams? Mir nearly tore his fu*kin arm off with a move I had never seen at that time. Very good win.

Nog? Looks like Nog still has something left in the tank. Nog beating Randy only made Mir's win over him look better. Walking corpse my ass, give Mir his credit.

Losing to Lesnar? Hey Lesnar is a big ******* and one of the biggest HW'S in MMA right now. He's seems to be getting a bit better in every fight and had a perfect game plan for Mir and is now tied with him 1-1. So what.

    P.S.

He also broke Tim Sylvia's arm.
