What if Dariusz Michalczewski vs.Roy Jones Jr. took place back then? Roy Jones Jr has never even been close to being beaten in his prime Would Michalczewski have been the first?
popular opinion is that he would have shattered Roy's fragile Glass Jaw. Jones did not want a challenge so he continued to handpick fights. Roy Jones whole career was nothing but smoke and mirrors and he never beat a unified, undisputed, or linear champion in his whole career.
I think roy would have just potshooted the tiger to a points win. Dariusz was too nails for roy to stop, and would've never stopped chasing roy with his perfect jab. However, roy was too fast fast for dariusz to catch him with anything big. Roy UD 12
I agree. On the paper RJJ on points (probably UD, but still close). But we dont know how it would have gone, beacuse they never met together. They should have fought long time ago and now we would know the result
True shame that fight never happened. There's also a great chance that under that alternate timeline we'd never have to keep referring to Zsolt Erdei as lineal champ.
Michalczewski was exposed in many fights as a very very slow starter who becomes frozen quickly as soon as the opponent can create a wee bit of pressure. Usually, after 5-6 rounds Michalczewski kind of "unthawed" and then knocked out his opponents in the late rounds. Until he wasn't so lucky. Jones would have analyzed Michalczewski's weakness and have taken him out TKO inside 6.
Go watch some footage of Dariusz. There is no way in hell he lays a hand on Roy prime vs prime. DM is overated as hell.
