I am just going to shoot an email to the texas boxing commission monday morning. I am sure it wont do anything, but as a major boxing fan I like to see as equitable scoring as possible in all fights.
Should they ban that judge? Hmmm, :think the word "duhh" crosses my mind... but it ain't gonna happen! That's boxing for you. And while they're at it they should ban the 116 -112 juge as well. That scorecard is prety damn ****ed too.
Look at it this way. Paulie landed 14 more punches according to the tracker. In the first round he out landed Diaz by 20 or 30. You could then argue he lost most every round after that...
My question to your question is: Who should ban him? Boxing??? WHO is boxing? Its not NHL, NBA, MLB, NFL...WHO IS BOXING?
Van oy only judges fights in texas, so banning him is unlikely. He never has nor ever will judge any fight outside ******* land.
As a judge you have to get licensed by the state boxing commission. In this instance he is a Texas licensed judge and so obviously, he should be reprimanded by the commission somehow in Texas.
No he didnt.. Check the polls and it clearly reflects the views of boxing fans who really won the fight tonight.
Yeah I think that its time that someone looks into Von Hoy's record. It seems like his cards are for sell. If Im not mistaken he scored Peter-Toney for toney 115-112 for Toney while the other two judges and eveyone eles saw it as a 8-4 for Peter. Van Hoy and Caiz were two of the three judges that scored the John Juarez fight a draw. Caiz gave Erik Morales 5 rounds in his fight with Raheem while the other two judges barely gave him five rounds combined. Those two have a history, I could see why Paulie was upset before the fight.
Yeah but you all get my point right?? Boxing need ONE single organization that can respond for everything. Thats it.
