Juan Diaz called Pac out. Instead, he fights David Diaz...

Not saying Diaz deserved a fight with him but you wishing Pac would smoke him could have and should have happened.

If pac had destroyed juan diaz instead of david, critics would say juan was just a c level fighter.

No, at the time he was undeafeted and had unified 3 belts. It wouldve been a very good win.

I don't think Freddie was confident in what Pac could do at that particular point in time. We all realize Pac would KO him now, but back than it was tough to call

the facts are these, when juan diaz was an undefeated three belt lightweight champion he called out pacquiao twice on HBO and pacquiao completely ignored him. who knows who would have won. since then pacquiao has improved while juan diaz has hit a few rough spots. still, i think juan has what it takes to win another lightweight title in the future.

    Confident my ass...

He was protecting his fighter. Plus, it didn't help Juan being a DKP fighter. Hindsight being 20/20..Pac should have fought him. Instead JMM and Nate Campbell gets the glory.

Nate f'n Campbell. Diaz was his meal ticket to bigger fights.

    doby,

say what you want about juan diaz but he was a solid lightweight champion with seven title defenses!
