He's a solid fighter. He did speak the truth about Pac should be fighting a young mexican guy. Not that it would have mattered. He deserved a shot against the Pacman and his undefeated record would have been a very good notch under Pac's belt. I like the kid. he's got his poly sci degree. He's got the potential to be a good leader in Houston if he plays his cards right after his boxing profession comes to a close.
I'd like to stuff Gale Van Hoy inside of George Foreman's heavy bag and collect the results in a bucket.
doby, well pacquiao had his chance to fight juan diaz while diaz was still an undefeated champion but pacquiao chose to fight david diaz instead. by the way, styles make fights and i don't think pacquiao would have beaten diaz so easy. at the time i think it would have been a toss-up fight but of course pacquiao took the easy route in fighting david diaz.
I was lobbying for Pac-J. Diaz after Pac-JMM 2. I'd rather see Valero-Diaz now in Houston where Valero is licensed.
are you ******ed? when pacquiao had just beaten jmm, juan diaz had just lost his belts to nate campbell a few weeks earlier. so say what you want but juan diaz is not the man at 135 when pac moved up.
I'd bet my 1st born child on Valero. Guzman would beat Diaz as well. And thats just at 135. At 140 Diaz is a non-threat to the elite.
I have no doubt Pac will beat Diaz, Diaz (like Hatton) is not the same fighter he once was. He would fall right in line with Morales and De La Hoya on the "Past their prime Express"
Diaz was never that good to begin with. When was he prime? When Nate Campbell hammered him? Manny is 5 levels above Diaz in class and talent. Diaz better go back to fighting guys on the level of Katsidis, and Julio Diaz. Cause against the elite... he'll always get beaten.
Barrera was shot, Morales was shot, De La Hoya was shot, Hatton was shot. Juan Diaz is just an ok fighter, a B fighter. He has one style and he can't do anything else except go forward, take shots, and throw pitty patty shots with an occasional strong left hook.
