Danny Jacobs will be carefully manoeuvered around anybody with any ability at 160lbs, this should be easy for his handlers as there isn't any real talent or class in this division anyway.
That being said he should avoid going anywhere near any legitimate top 10 fighters EVER because he simply is and never will be good enough.
Potential my ARSE I really cant believe fight fans are being fooled by this guy. A bonefide HYPE JOB !

You are on the dick of every black fighter and prospect abroad.

Jacobs is ****in' GARBAGE! He punches like a wild black hooker on Sunset Blvd. He'd get stopped by all the above except Sturm...he'd get bitched against Sturm.

**** Jacobs...big ass hype job ready to get de-railed. AND BAD!

Obviously, there is a lot of hate for Danny after last night’s performance. I don’t quite get it, but anyway, I thought I’d try to put his career in perspective so far. Danny is 22 years old. The three middleweights generally recognized by most as the best in the world today are Kelly Pavlik, Paul Williams and Arthur Abraham (yes, I know he moved up, but he still has yet to fight at SMW, so I’ll still count him as a middleweight). Here is who those three fought at the age of 22:

Pavlik - Anthony Ivory, Roberto Baro, Pedro Ortega, Carlton Holland and Ross Thompson. Their combined record was 112-99-8.

Williams - Earl Jackson, Benjie Marquez and Arturo Rodriguez. Their combined record was 50-53-5.

Abraham - When Abraham was 22, he hadn’t even fought as a professional yet, so we’ll look at what he did was he was 23. At 23, he fought Frank Kary Roth, Peter Rykala, Sladko Cizicz, Tomas Vican and Cezary Piotrowski. Their combined record was 5-17-2.

Compare that to the guys Jacobs has fought so far at the age of 22.

Jacobs - Jose Luis Cruz, Jose Varela, Michael Walker, George Walton and Ishe Smith. Their combined record is 105-27-5.

There is no comparison. Almost every Jacobs fight is also on television. At 22, Pavlik, Williams and Abraham’s only shot at getting on television was if they bought ringside seats.

So let’s settle down a little on the criticism of this guy. Does he have flaws? Yes. Absolutely. But he has come a lot further at 22 than any of the best middleweights of today. Let’s sit back, hope he can smooth out his defense, sit down on his punches a little more and adapt better to the professional style. He is a great kid with a great future ahead of him.

No need to rush the kid, IMO.
I say late 2010/2011, IF he is still winning and co-staring on GBP PPV's & Show's
We will find out more about him & see what's real.

But as of today, he still needs some improvement on his defense & his balance.
Also his Power might be a bit overrated as of '09.

Kid has some talent, no question.

Ishe gives everyone an ugly night, but it was weird seeing Jacobs swinging like that in the exchanges. That wasn't something I expected.

Jacobs is good ... he has a bit of Jermain Taylor in him and he's doing the right thing by banking in rounds ... he just went 10 last night ... he's boxing more and learning ... he's not ready for top 10 opponent but by next years time, he should be ... and the middleweight division is weak. He would have to get a 12 rounder in and possibly get a new trainer before he takes an "L"

This is part of what's wrong with boxing today. Talking **** about a kid that is only 22 and been pro for 2 years. His people have him on a little bit of a fast track, so he somewhat struggles against a real solid gatekeeper that makes most everyone he fights look bad.

This sport will die if it's own fans are this overly critical. If fight fans were like this back in the day, then Marvin Hagler would never have amounted to anything because of a couple of early loses.

The guy's 22, and already there are probably only 6 or 7 160 pound fighters in the world who would be favored to beat him. Imagine what will happen when he learns to pick when to sit on his punches (which he didn't do at all last night, but has done quite a bit in the past) or how to not get caught on the ropes (keeping in mind that it was a TINY ring last night) or to avoid the left hook. It's a learning process, Ishe was his first step up. Two or three years from now, Williams, Jacobs, Korobov and Lara will be ruling that weight class.

Sandy Sadler was KTFO in his second fight.

Good thing for boxing they didn't write him off.

That was the last time he was ever stopped.

They should bring him back to 168.

  15. Danny Jacobs is the future, the best rookie we've seen in a long time. Lmao at people putting him in the ring with Pavlik this early...
