    Honestly, it was the first time i saw both guys. The both impressed me. Klassen started too slow. But he looks like a pretty good fighter.

    He's got a fair bit of pop and will mercilessly break you down over the course of the fighting, punishing you in the process. It almost looks like he goes in with the intention to murder his opponent. I love it.

    the fickle group think suckers are the ones who just forget that Yordan was dismissed like he never even existed when it was Guerrero who had the fight called off. No rematch? doesn't matter cause Guerrero looks like I do, while Yordan comes from some shithole that i've never heard of.

    Don't talk to me about fickle.

    Most people will gobble up any bull**** that is fed through them through the TV screen. I never criticised Guerrero for wanting the fight stopped after he suffered a pretty bad cut from a headbutt, but I'm not gonna forget what took place in that ring. Yordan would likely have beaten Guerrero and Guerrero wouldn't be getting any kind of paydays at all. So the rematch is in order but we all know it'll never happen

    Fair enough - especially as Daud has remained undefeated I'd absolutely like to see the questions answered with a rematch. For better or worse, even if Guerrero risks getting KTFO - it's something he should pursue to put it to bed. I wasn't calling you fickle. Definitely there was a contingent lumping Robert in with true quitters like Ortiz, Witter, and to a lesser extent (and it pains me to say) Nate (the only reason I separate Nate and Robert is that Robert just sort of shrugged and acquiesced when the ref was jonesing to stop it already - whereas Nate doggedly pursued and demanded the bout's closure).

    Gamaliel Diaz is also one dirty SOB. The Soto fight was about the most foul filled thing I've seen recently.

    he won't. I can guarantee you that. He won't be fighting Linares any time soon either. Promoters does not throw marketable fighters to the slaughter unless they get something major in return.

    Yordan's gone right back to still knocking suckas out in Indonesia and building up his impressive (relatively, considering his opposition) record even further. If he can maintain I don't see why he wouldn't get another opportunity, if not against RG then someone else who will raise his visibility and remind people of the first fight and create demand for a second. Action fighters tend to catch attention - and being a consistent knockout artist is the great marketing equalizer even if there's nothing else superficially marketable about you.

    I agree, he's the classic over-achiever who just gives it all in the ring.

    He takes too much **** for the Yordan fight, we have no clue how it would have played out, except it was gonna be a tough fight.. and one that he was going to have to fight through blood that was no fault of his own. The smart thing to do was call it a NC and move on.

    People don't understand cuts on ESB, there's a time to fight through, and a time to call it a NC and fight another day. Boxing is tough enough without a cut from a headbutt early on. After the 4th, he'd have no choice. It was smart to duck out, proving how macho he is, isn't the best thing for prolonging a career.

    wouldn't the smart thing to do be call it a NC and have a rematch? :huh

    I guess for some people its better to call it a NC and pretend it never happened.

    He's obviously not regretting the decision now. :yep

    So long as he and DCY meet up again at some point, I don't think it can be viewed as a black mark on his career.

    I'd agree, a re-match is in order.. but this boxing, and there is politics and I have no clue why there wasn't one.

    I'm not blaming that on Guerrero though, his promoter picks the fights.

    Yes, it would be the smart thing. The unfortunate reality is, yeah - were Yordan an up and coming American prospect with a shred of name recognition maybe that would have happened right away. As it is, and no maybe it's not fair - he needs to work a little harder to earn what maybe he does deserve to have happen right away. You can't hate on Guerrero for the nature of the status quo though. He's also not necessarily in direct control of his career trajectory - few fighters are but I imagine GBP products even less so than most.

    well tbh if you like him for being an overachiever then I can't argue with that. He is definately an overachiever who has benefited from cautious matchmaking and a strong promotional team.
