Prime; Trinidad, DLH, Chavez, Roger Mayweather, McGirt, Paez, Haugen, Jose Luis Ramirez ... this guys fought in an era that was a bit tougher than it is now and i'm telling you with as limited as Pac is now, he wouldn't be p4p top 10 let alone #1.

    Jose Luis Ramirez
    Greg Haugen
    Azumah Nelson
    Rafael Pineda
    Buddy McGirt
    Jorge Paez
    Roger Mayweather
    Julio Vasquez
    Wilfredo Rivera
Julio Caesar Chavez (WE ALL KNOW HE WON)

Not to mention his performances post prime verses DLH and Hurtado. He arguably didn't lose a fight until he fought Tito and by then he was a certified powder head.

He's resume has far more depth and consistency, not to mention he showed the type of prowess against his opposition that Pac has yet to (JMM is Pac's best opponent to date PERIOD and we all know that story.)

Yeah by far ... better class of fighters ... better opposition ... in an era dominated by tough fighters ... some experts think that Pernell only lost 1 fight legit. Tito (he fought 10 rounds with a broken Jaw and still managed to go the distance) ....

Alot of spectators believe he beat Chavez, DLH, and Ramirez ...

Got spanked by Trinidad who used him for the name on his resume. Lost to DLH. The Chavez travesty is the best item there. Mayweather, McGirt, Paez, Haugen, and Ramirez don't come close to equalling Pac's victories
over Morales, Marquez, Barrera, Pac's move up the scales to crush DLH and Hatton, and Pac's status as the only lineal champion in four weight classes.

why is it that pacquiao fans have to compare him to every good fighter that's ever lived? i have a theory and i think it's just that they are so insecure and they want everyone to say pacquiao was the best fighter of all time. in fact, there was a poll at pacland asking was pacquiao better than sugar ray robinson and guess what, pacquiao fans voted mostly for pacquiao. this is really getting ridiculous and irritating. that's why i think most fans hope pacquiao gets his ass beat by miguel cotto to shut up these no knowledge fans. pacquiao may be one of the best fighters in this era but guess what, there were other eras too with many great fighters as well. if pacquiao stops being such a prima donna by demanding other fighters fight him at catchweight maybe we can get a better picture of just how great pacquiao really is!

Good post but it's pointless trying to reason with morons. These people are fans of fighters, not boxing.

i think it's better to have 'no-knowledge-about-boxing' fans than no fans at all..
