Who says Ray Leoanrd was faded?

    I never said that.

Leonard was doing very well for himself until he met up with Norris.

    11 years w/o a loss

    5 championships

a dominant showing in uno mas and ringing endorsements from Tim Ryan "what an absolutely brilliant performance!" and Steve Farhood himself "Ray Leonard fought the perfect fight"

How does someone fight the perfect fight if they're faded like you say?

Faded fighters are those with no legs and reflexes and Ray had his legs all night long!

So your claim is completely without merit. Ray just ran into the wrong guy in Norris. Norris, not your typical ray Leonard made to order opponent Lalonde, Howard, kalule, etc etc etc etc

When have Ray leonard ever been forced to contend with a multi dimensioanl speed demon like Norris?

    answer: he hasnt

Can't dissagree with Farhood and Ryan Mr. Sean

Even from a logical standpoint, he couldnt have been faded. His performance with Hagler was his best ever career wise. he didnt lose as he did to Duran and he didnt fall behind on points as he did with hearns with his trainer yelling at him "you're blowing it son!"

With no tuneups and at a higher weight than he was accustomed, he managed to make it close enough that the judges gave him the fight. So shouldnt he with the added activity been that much better? Add to that, he was down to his more familiar weight of 154 and you have to conclude that leonard should have beat Norris.

This fight was a lot like the contest I saw in the Movie the quick and the dead between Herod and Ace Hanlon. Ace knew all the tricks and gimmicks that impressed the crowds and that Herod at his age could never pull off. he was the one with the charm and charisma that made women hot. But when it came time to draw, he couldnt bluff his way out of it and Herod was just too quick for him.

Same principle applies here between Leonard and Norris. The man who can continually beat the opponent to the draw will set the tone of the fight throughout. While Leonard studies with his eyes wide open, Terry jumps on him without hestitation and puts him in a shell.

    You`ll get used to him.

He aint a bad poster but his opinions & feelings on Leonard are absolutely legendary here on ESB.

He rates SRL lower than ANYONE in the history of planet earth, it really is astonishing, brilliant in a weird way at times.

He is not alone, no one has won more than three generally recognized universal championships, Leonard won two (147, 160).

Redrooster seems a little over zealous at times but has a point with the thumbless gloves and I do not see anyone debeating with Redrooster over this.

Del La Hoya, for me is one of the best ever as he has a great resume, sure he lost a few but that is what happen's when you fight the best constantly.

I cannot stand Leonard, he was great but I just don't like him.

Hagler, by dominating as long as he did. Otherwise, Tony Ayala.

Good call; and to go off topic slightly, I think the trainer of the decade was clearly Panama Lewis.
