Carwin is a really big, strong, powerful, skilled fighter who has just been blowing through people. This could be a really good fight and a real test for Lesnar.
I don't see it as a forgone conclusion. A big, strong, powerful, undefeated fighter coming off a good win is nothing to be shunned. Especially considering Lesnar hasn't faced someone like Carwin and we must remember he still only has 5 fights!
Because the ONLY thing Carwin seem to have over Lesnar is punching power, and Lesnar is not a chump in that category too.
I don't think Lesnar will have an easy time at all, Carwin showed what one of his arm punches can do. The question is can Carwin compete with brock's wrestling and how is his stamina....the guy hasn't gone past the first round before.
Carwin's gimmick is that he's huge and powerful and a great wrestler. Lesnar is just as huge and just as powerful (give or take), but is a better wrestler and is much more agile and coordinated than Carwin. Carwin isn't very light on his feet and sometimes lumbers around. I think Carwin would have had a hard time with Velasquez for that reason, and I think he'll have the same problem with Lesnar. I'll be fun to watch and I'll be pulling for Carwin bigtime, but if I was betting I'd put it on Lesnar.
Carwin KO round 1. Not a doubt in my mind. Only thing Lesnar has on Carwin is takedowns. He's not as skillful as Carwin. I'll be surprised it go past 1st round. Lesnars wins came purely due to size. Sad as it is.
