Diaz has been EXPOSED!!!!

Where was he exposed exactly? Because this was the same Diaz that fought for the past 5 years. If you didnt pick on anything during that time, then how is he exposed now?

 

..actually it's 2nd. Robbery is #1, Exposed #2, and 3rd is a tie between Over-Rated and Hype-job.

 

I wish I was an Admin.. I'd start banning everyone who posts a thread titled: "XXXX was EXPOSED!"

I'd set up a ****ing script to ban them automatically.

 

he wasn't exposed to anyone who wasn't caught in the hype. Diaz is a solid fighter, but not elite. Never has been and never will be.

Freitas was was past his best and imo was schooling Diaz until he was physcally overwhelmed. Julio Diaz is not a good fighter. Sorry to say but gettng knocked out by Rolando Reyes is not a good sign. Nate Campbell is highly regarded these days for what? Beating Juan Diaz. But what else has he done to be so highly regarded today? SD over Funeka? Also I thought JMM schooled him. I mean sure Diaz did well in the early rounds, but all in all i gave him 3 rounds and then he got KTFO.

I'd like to see Juan Diaz vs David Diaz. that would be an interesting matchup for alot of reasons. Juan throws alot of punches, David takes alot. Both like to wear their opponents down. Both are strong but a little bit featherfisted. David seems to be mentally stronger but Juan seems to have a better output and better speed. One is orthodox, the other southpaw. It would be a good fight. Alot of people will think that Juan Diaz whitewashes David but i think it would be competitive.

Anyways @ 140 I don't see what Juan Diaz can do that is really interesting without getting beat. Maybe he can rematch Nate Campbell though. A good payday for Campbell and you would hope a winnable fight for Juan Diaz.

 

I gotta disagree.

Any man that can fight life and death (in what is easily argued the FOY) with the number 2 p4p fighter in the world and actually be WINNING by the time the fight is stopped can definately be considered on that elite level to me.

He just fought a guy last night that was the worst possible opponent for him...someone who is faster and moves better (honestly, the one thing Diaz did badly was he was unable to cut off the ring...everytime he did, he won the round). I think Shields works on getting that outside foot planted to stop opponents from circling on him and he will be fine.

 

Diaz wasn't winning against JMM by the time the fight was stopped. I had Diaz winning 3 rounds, the judges had the fight tied going into the 9th, and Diaz was obviously losing the 9th.

diaz is a solid fighter, but B to B- at best, he will never be p4p material.....also he has no business at 140, juan for your own safety stay at 135...

 

It was a close fight...1 judge had it for Diaz, 1 for Marquez. I had it for Diaz barely...you had it for Marquez barely. Now think about that. He went life and death with THE NUMBER TWO P4P FIGHTER ON THE PLANET!!! He is better than a B fighter or just "good". He has proven that time in and time out. Last night, he just met a fighter whose style was tough for him...a good fighter (a douchebag, but a good fighter) at that.

 

anyways we don't see eye to eye on this at all. I don't consider that JMM went life and death with Juan Diaz. I also don't consider that Malignaggi should present a tough style matchup for Juan Diaz. Especially since the ring was about the size of a 1993 Honda Civic.

Well Campbell didn't really "outbox" Diaz. He stood in the pocket and roughed Juan's ass up... and you forgot to mention how well JMM boxed and picked apart Diaz when they were in the center of the ring.
