Dude, did Cotto bone your sister and then not call her? I've never seen such undue hatred for a quiet, classy boxer with a great set of skills, and that is usually in exciting fights. WTF???

he fought top dog at 147 (Mosley-who has campaigned at 154, Margarito-the then most feared iron-chinned, Clottey-tough as turtle). i don't know if he deserved that criticism.

Every post is going to contain some sort of bias. No one can be completely objective. That doesn't mean a lot of fair points weren't raised.

He should be banned on the spot for putting so-called and talk into quotes.

If Cotto was not a well liked fighter and the poster said the same exact things about him, nobody would be complaining. The guy is simply giving his opinion.

I think 'medioric' is a *******ization of the word 'mediocre'. So clearly English is not one of this guy's strengths.

True. But the original post didn't just contain some sort of bias, it was a shameful attempt of degradation.

He did raise some fair points. But Cotto is a warrior with great offensive skills, and he's always part of entertaining fights. Criticizing him that way is not fair, imo. Anyway, I already gave my points about the original post.

Clearly he meant meteoric, and just spelled it wrong. Typos happen all the time here. Harping on it is irrelevant, and adds nothing to the discussion.

I think he meant "meteoric" the first time he mentioned it, and "mediocre" the second one.

Do you guys have any idea of what it is like to see thousands...Thats right, Thousands of Threads saying how Cotto "WALKS ON WATER, PARTED THE SEAS, TURNED WATER INTO WINE"....BLAH BLAH BLAH.

I actually like Cotto as a fighter...But because I do not have some ridiculous "FAITH-BASED" or "Cutlural-Based" LOYALTY...I can see his flaws...ALL OF THEM.

And every last one of you, knows that if there was a fighter, who who continuously got rocked by B- fighters, and got destroyed by a B Level fighter and looked TOTALLY UN-IMPRESSIVE in his last fight...AND THEN GOT REWARDED WITH A MEGA FIGHT WITH A "SO CALLED P4P CHAMP...YOU'D LOSE YOUR MINDS!!!

And for the record..Cotto is not the only fighter I am "Hard-on"!! Can someone tell me HOW DOES PACMAN GET ALL THIS HYPE FOR BEATING THE SAME TWO FIGHTERS THAT FLOYD JUST BEAT?

Yeah, his victories were impressive...But lets look at the "Tale of the Tape"...Oscar would only fight Floyd at 154lbs, with bigger gloves in a smaller ring...Oscar HAD ALL THE ADVANTAGES...And How anyone saw a SPLIT DECISION...is CRAZY!!!
Yet, Oscar had NO problem giving Pacman the same advantages Floyd wanted, 147lbs, Smaller Gloves...etc.

And Pacman vs Hatton...Floyd Sr. gave Hatton the perfect gameplan....movement and defense with patients...Cuz Pacman after round 6 is sluggish...But what did Hatton do?...Went out there HEAD FIRST right into the fist of Pacman!!!

I never said Cotto was a BUM nor a BAD fighter nor a Horrible Fighter...DEFINITELY A TOP fighter...But How many of you would have like to have seen Abdulaev replaced with Luis Collazo, or Alfonso Gomez replaced with Berto or Urango.

Look..we all have opinions and thoughts about fighters and fights. ESB gave us this great forum and opportunity to EXPRESS ourselves. And its a true sign of peoples character that responds with a dis-agreement and / or their opinons on why they disagree with you...

But for those people who responds with insults, name calling, profanity...Blah Blah blah...IT SPEAKS VOLUMES ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER.

NOW, if you really wanna debate..."The Alternative way"!!!!

It actually speaks volumes about the character of people who only concerns themselves with a mis-spelling rather than the entire thread. But if it makes you feel better...It was a mis-spelling. I hope you can hear from your HIGH HORSE....How is the climate up there?
