Well said. Also, Hopkins at 44 is number three pound for pound so how could anyone say that Jones owns him? The question is, could Jones have beaten Pavlik? The answer: not a chance.

Nothing is more ***** that a guy that slaps{ illegal blows with the inside of the glove} like a little girl guide. Add to these the blatent rabbit punches & low blows Cortez let Calzaghe get away with.
Calzaghe got gifted a suspicious SD win he knew he got lucky fighting a sub par Hopkins. That why he refused a rematch at home in wales that his fans would have loved because he knew if he rematched Nard his 0 was gone:hi:

Jones got his ass kicked by calzaghe and Hopkins got a split decision loss. Oh and Hopkins kicked Tarver and Glen Johnsons asses as well. Only thing left for Hopkins to do now is to KTFO of Roy in their rematch next year.

Instead of overrating and constantly sucking Joe's **** on the GF why don't you spend time reading Jeff Thomas' posts on the Brit Forum. He is one of the select and correct few that knows boxing. You're a regular idiot and embarrassment.

Jones never ONCE bitched out in his fight with his fight with Joe Calzaghe. He sustained the worse cut of his career and still fought on valliantly. Hopkins threw a dozen punches a round, grabbed Calzaghe at evet oportunity in a terrified fashion. As to the crooked Yankee judge who scored it for Hopkins they should be banned form the sport. Seem to remember another Yankee judge going for Holyfield in the 1st fight against Lennox Lewis!!! Only in America!! :verysad

I rate Hops higher than Jones. Better fundamentals. Better longevity. Hopkins wasn't half the fighter he turned out to be when he faced Jones. Jones did not easily win that fight either. that was probably his toughest fight until he fought montel griffin I.

Suspicious blows my ar*e. Calzaghe was unper par n the night and yet he still horsed Hopkins. Hopkins performance was plain embarassing. I thought he was about to burst into tears at one point. :hi:

Oh yeah definatley a split decision with one of the Yank judges (what a surprise!) going for Hopkins. Apparntley Lewis-Holyfield I was a draw. The unbiased Yankee judge Eugenia Williams scored it 115-113 for Holyfield.:lol::lol: As Don King would say Only In America.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Even at this stage Jones would make Pavlik look foolish. He still has great handspeed and is by far the superior boxer.

A below par "past his prime" Calzaghe,to use you one of your Yanks favourite expressions, easily beat Hopkins. The fact that one of your dodgy judges went for Hopkins means jack!!!

Not true. He is known for his reaction speed, knocking guys out with punches they could barely see.
