Agreed with everything except for your rematch prediction. I'm not quite certain that Bradley would take it.

Campbell is going to have to get in line now. Bradley has to fight Peterson to keep this belt. I know Tim has to be angry because he gave up the belt Devon Alexander won to fight Campbell when he didn't even have to, all for Campbell to quit when he saw an easy out (not denying he was actually hurt from the butt).

Campbell's best shot is to try to fight Alexander to get his belt and try to force a unification.

Excellent news, that's the RIGHT decision based on rules. I don't understand why they always make the same mistake, it happened with Rahman/Toney as well.

Good to know it has been changed.

    Campbell got away with quitting.

Cotto got a worse eyebrow but went on to win against a very dangerous clottey.

I have mixed feelings on this. According to the rules, the fight should have been a No Contest. However, I am absolutely convinced that Nate Campbell could have continued if he so wished, and would have been able to see through both eyes. When you think Miguel Cotto braved through his horrendous cut against a top level fighter in Joshua Clottey a month prior, it makes a mockery out of Nate Campbell's injury.

Cotto had a deep cut over his eye, Campbell has a viterous hemmorage, his eye was damaged and blood was on the inside of his eye, this could have led to permanant damage to his eye, so I the two injuries are not even comparable.

The only thing with Nate was I hated the way he carried on after he stopped the fight. If he was hurt he should have immediately went to the hospital, damn the score or the verdict of the fight, but he waited for the result and started crying on the camera and talking about a rematch and that **** looked terrible.

Campbell has always been a punk... He acted like one when Peden KOd him.. He was stupid enough to drop his hands in front of Peden and then bitched to the referee about it... Just like with campbell... He quit then bitched about the ref

I don't think this makes any bit of difference. Miguel Cotto with his injury could clearly not see through his left eye, and was surely going to walk into Clottey's right hand as a result. Miguel braved through the fight and came out on top. In contrast, Nate Campbell could actually see through his eye in my opinion, and would not have known the full extent of his injuries at the time of the stoppage. He quit not because the injury called for it, but because he felt the fight was not going his way. I am certain of this.

Why do you think that was? He could have continued if he so wished too, but Nate Campbell is a smart guy. The fight was going against him, he probably figured if he got awarded a No contest then he'd have time to recover and give it another shot in a rematch. That's how I see it.

People act like the boxing world owes Nate Campbell something.

I remember his recent history fine, but I also remember the braggard Nate Campbell dropping his hands and hot doggin Robbie peden and then follow up mugging in Queensland - This was from Robbie Peden - Not 140+ lbs motivated young Tim Bradley.

I also remember the crying for not making weight about Guzman and then the "Oh at least I fought" when he failed to make weight in the next fight.

Bradley TKO 8 in the rematch.

Am I the only one thinking that was a super fast count by the referee? I'm at 7 when he's at 10.

Yes the type of injury does make a difference. Cotto's injury was superficial and he could see but blood was dripping over his eyes. Campbell had an internal injury that if left untreated could have effected his vision for the rest of his life, blood was on the inside of his eye lid, he could not wipe the blood away like cotto could. There injuries are not comparable. Cotto needed stitches, Campbell had to get surgery.

The way Campbell whined after the fight is what clouds people's view of him, I agree he acted like a whiney little ***** after the fight, but that does not change the fact that he actually had a serious injury that needed medical treatment.
