Cotto has one of the best resumes in the sport. If it wasnt for the margacheato ****er ******* he would be considered in the top P4P.

Thats all opinion. Baldo beat a mental patient Zab and thats his cinderella story end. Or do you a call a washed up Gatti a good win also. Spinks would've been a problem but I can't see anyone else on your list giving him problems. Bertos people would never match him with Cotto before now or anytime in the near future. Collazo good fighter but probably not strong enough for Cotto.

Cotto's best win, IMO, is the victory over Mosley. that alone is better than what Berto or other welters have accomplished.

    :huh

Campbell was supposed to be food for Kid Diamond for crying out loud, losing three of his previous five. When would a Cotto-Campbell fight ever have seemed like a good match up?

Spinks partly blamed his loss to Judah on issues with making weight and moved to 154. After the Judah loss and Spinks weight issues, when would Cotto-Spinks have seemed like a good idea to you?

But it's funny how you harp on those "European punching bags" when one was a mandatory and another was a virtually undefeated Olympic Gold Medalist who had been on a collision course with Cotto since they made their pro debuts. The other being a comeback foe after a devastating defeat. Who by the way Cotto didn't even want to fight. Top Rank gave him and ultimatum; fight Jennings in February or remain idle until June. Realistically, the only one of that bunch that you could criticize him for fighting is Gianluca Branco.

Don't put Baldomir in there....he's the perfect example of a limited boxer and he sure doesn't have that great a resume....

I personally don't really care about Cotto but taking a step back, I can guarantee that his resume is at least on par with any big names that have fought at 140-147 in the last 10 years....He just fights them all, a true warrior !!

Thank You! Obviously this guy is a Mayweather fan and is hating on the fact that no black fighter is loved as much as any latin fighter by his people. Fact!:hi:

    What a load of ****.

Miguel Cotto has captured world titles in two weight divisions, he also destroyed good fighters like Torres, Malignaggi and Quintana who later became world champs even though they where damaged goods because of MC. Also he schooled Mosley winning a landslide decision against him, the same Mosley that battered and destroyed Margarito.
Even with a large cut above his eye he managed to continue and win a decision against Clottey, and if it wasnt for the headbutt early in the fight he would have been ko like the bum and dirty fighter he is.Given that the fight is fair (no loaded gloves or intentional headbutts) unbeatable MC is almost unbeatable.
He has a better resume that any fighter today, he never ducked anybody and is one of the best p4p fighters.

Cotto has fought better opposition at welter than Floyd, but surely won't say anything about that. Or maybe he'll say that Baldomir is a top class fighter or something lol

I dont know how the stupid judges scored the fight.Mosley was outclasses, all his power punches where carefully blocked or evaded.MC was using mosley head as a speedball.Even when he run in the championship rounds he was still schooling 'sugar' Shane.

to be honest you can break down any fighters resume and find flaws.... but in general you can see who is deserving of credit and who's not... Miguel deserves credit and hes only what 28??? Come one now.

Your a coward plain and simple, Kirk and myself sytematically shitted on your original post in the other thread to show your lack of consistency and you did'nt even address the post because it made you look so limited in knowledge.

You did'nt even know about boxrec.com till I told you about it and thats the truth. And why don't you focus on Cotto's oppostion of the last two and half years?

lol, the sad thing about all of this is you simply dont realize how big of a tool you are. Black athletes are held to higher standards? get the **** outta here...Mcnabb was held to a higher standard because he had all the potential in the world and didnt live up to it. Floyd because he claims to be the second coming of christ..if you dont wanna be held to a higher standard dont talk **** about yourself being the best.

Other fighters and atheletes are forced to live up to, if not exceed the same high level standards. Cotto living up to Trinidad, every mexican fighter living up to JCC, Filipino fighters Pac or how about every white fighter being touted as the great white hope?

As far as Cottos goes, back to the original post before BigReg decided to make one of themost ******ed comments Ive heard on here, he does have flaws. Obviously every fighter has flaws. The same could be said about Filipinos and Pac being able to do no wrong, margaritos nuthuggers claiming hes the most feared man on the planet. But his resume? You're gonna question that? You picked four names of his resume and left a bunch out. Mosley, Judah, Clottey, Margarito etc. Torres went on to become champion and beat Kendal Holt, the second fight is questionable with the headbutt from Holt, Corley is a decent journeyman who, if I remember correctly made Floyd wobble a little with a weird shot to the temple. Urkal was a mandatory who actually did ok against Kostya Tszyu. Mayweather fought Sharmba Mitchell who had been previously destroyed by Tszyu. The other fighters on Cotto's resume were good prospects at the time when Cotto was still considered a prospect. kelson Pinto, Randall Bailey, Carlos Maussa, Lovermore N'dou etc...Cotto actually has quite a resume. Every fighter has a gimmie fight every once in awhile.

While i wont say Cotto is perfect and not flawed, as he clearly lacks defense, stamina etc..I'd say hes done quite well for himself. His resume is better than a lot of top fighters now. If you dont like his fans, thats one thing...i can relate, I hate *******s and Margarito fans, and Im starting to hate Floyd fans..but to say Cotto has a weak resume because you dont like his fans is a weak argument.
