probably a good fight for Hatton. Diaz is just too small for 140, and doesn't have enough power.

In fact, Diaz is probably taylor made for Hatton, who prefers to out muscle/bully smaller opponents.

The difference is how Williams couldn't find ANYONE to fight at that point and how Diaz is in a division packed with talent he could choose from. Williams was considering people from Welter all the way to Middle and recently signed to fight none other than undisputed MW champion Kelly Pavlik.

I didn't see you complaining about how Margarito was literally BEGGING a beyond shot DLH for a fight when he had many better options including options to avenge losses for career high paydays. You were praising him as a true gladiator who is willing to move up to 154 for DLH but demands that Santos, a guy that beat him, should move down.

    its both..
-hatton is washed up as **** & doesnt even need to be fighting
-you dont just "get to fight" hatton... you have to earn it... doesnt change the fact he is washed up as ****...

see what im trying to say?

if juan diaz called out hatton.. why didnt he call out manny pacman? should have called out the winner of pacman - cotto

hatton is DONEEEEEE ... i think thats the thing everyone is missing

and paul doesnt have anything to do with this

wtf does paul really have to do with this anyways

i dont like kahn calling out hatton either...

hatton is a ****ing pos at this point in time....

kahn & diaz calling out hatton = haye calling out tyson 3 years ago
kahn & diaz calling out hatton = paul williams calling out odlh

so your trying to tell me hatton isnt done?

What I am trying to tell you is that we dont know just yet, after being knocked out like that isnt good neither but it doesnt mean he is all done.

well in your opinion.... in a yes or no question format

is hatton done? yes or no

in my opinion he is totaallllly done and doesnt need to be fighting any more... just like oscar... his time is up... if andre berto called out oscar de la hoya after beating someone like luis collazo for a second time im sure a lot of people would be sayign the same thing......

people are just being smart asses and not really thinking this whole thing through clearly...

Isn't Hatton retired? Or unofficially retired? Why are people trying to call this guy out who is clearly off of boxing for now?

Are you seriously giving Diaz **** for calling out Hatton? Diaz should have lost against Paulie whom Hatton just outboxed easily. You seen how small Diaz looked against Paulie, Hatton is much larger than Diaz and diaz doesnt have the power to hurt Hatton.

I would pick Hatton to stop Diaz, if JMM can do it certainly Hatton has the power to put him away. Diaz would be a great fight for Hatton to take.

Hatton probably is "done" physically, but he hasn't announced his retirement yet either.

Until he does, why should we be angry that he gets called out? Especially by a fighter that half the world now thinks is garbage, small, flabby, and can't win a fight outside Houston?

Yeah, and let's hope they won't fight in Texas or Hatton would be disqualified by knocking the sh*t out of him!!

ok i guess the problem with this thread is that

i think ricky hatton is totally & completely washedup and has no business ever fighting again

I guess some others think that hatton should still fight on...

    (goes to make another thread)

You cant say that he is done, he was stopped in his last fight could have happend to anybody, being knocked out twice in both your losses has happend to others as well.

what I am saying is I dont know weather or not he is done so I wont say that he is done based on what I have heard Freddy Roach and others say, in Boxing I have seen in time and time again in which you think a fighter is finished but he is not.

Rickys next fight if there is one will tell us all we need to know, and when that happens I will be able to make a decision based on what I see, him being stopped by both Floyd and Manny does not indicate he is done, it means those two fighters are some bad mutha ****as
