Not totally agree. Golota's last fight, even with the injury, golota was still chasing austin all the time with one arm.
I like how nobody is mentioning the Ray Austin fight. Golota got KD by the very first punch. Ray ****in Austin.
I wonder what they'll do with the odds on this freak show... I would love to get Adamek as an underdog, but I can't lay anything more than -150 or so on him... Golota is still a f*cking big heavyweight.
The press conference to announce the Polish fight of the century between Andrew Golota and Tomasz Adamek was held in Warsaw today. Adamek invited me to dance, so I could not well refuse, the evidently relaxed Golota (41), four-time challenger for the heavyweight championship of the world, was saying about the October event. One shouldnt really box at my age, Id rather be 12-13 years younger. Still, Bernard Hopkins is 44, so I still have everything ahead of me. Adamek seemed more tightly wound. I was always a warrior, and shall remain a warrior. If anything changes about that, Ill be quitting this business. Im going to win against Golota, and Im going to win against Hopkins next January, the IBF junior heavyweight champion announced. Yeah, sure!, was Golotas ironic riposte. I weigh in at 270 pounds, but at my age you usually gain weight. Adamek is a regular powerhouse, weighing in at as much as 200 pounds When asked whether there is any bad blood between Adamek and him, Golota quipped with a smile, I love the guy. Adameks response: I dont love him, since hes male, and Im Roman Catholic. The Golota Adamek fight will take place on October 24 in Lodz. The event will be produced by the Polsat television network.
Technically speaking, he was stopped by Grant but the truth is that he just quit in a fight that he was leading on the scorecards. Golota's fragile mentality has let him down time and time again. Grant was a solid heavyweight at the time and the fact that he wouldn't go away despite an early blitz by Golota proved to be too much for Andrew.
Golota was not scared of either one. With Lewis he wanted to pull out as he had some issues but main events didn't let him. With Tyson the media was freaking Andrew out with all the talk of him being a dirty fighter. In the 1st round Mike headbutted Andy and Andy freaked out that the ref didn't say a thing. It turned out Andrew had a broken orbital bone from the butt.
What's that photo from? Was that a presser? Is this actually happening? Like contracts are signed and a venue booked?
