Golota KO'ed himself in that fight. All he had to do was take a knee, clear his head, and walk around the canvas for one more round. Grant didn't know where he was for 9 rounds.

Well, mmm mmm this is good crow. I've been maintaining that this will never happen. Is Adamek expected to come in at his customary weight or bulk up?

I think Golota will be too washed up to land anything of significance or to use his size advantage. Adamek will win, I'm not sure how, probably stoppage even.

    Interesting fight though.

sadly austin is a fringe HW contender today and has decent performances against other "contenders". yes golota got kd at the outset, but his arm also got majorly ****ed (saw gruesome pictures post fight but don't know the actual injury) and was unable to fight back pretty much. also adamek can't even match "ray ****in austin"'s power so forget about adamek trying to overwhelm golota early. no easy fight for either guy

That would actually be a worthwhile matchup come to think of it.

Is that wise, if he's planning to cut back down to 199 for a Cunningham or Hopkins match by January? :think

Hate to see him pull a RJJ.

Too bad it wasn't a 9 round fight.

i don't buy that golota was scared either and the man was right to quit with a broken orbital bone vs tyson. the thing is i remember tyson landing a devastating overhand right to golota and not the butt, maybe i missed it but the punch could've well did it. wasn't golota injured against grant also (ankle or something) or was it the other way around

The Grant fight was a sure WIN until Andy got caught. Instead of taking a knee and clearing his head he tried to stay up until countless bombs (ala Lewis) floored him. He got up instantly (like always) and said "no" when the ref asked if he wanted to continue. George Foreman (ringside) said it best... "you don't ask a man if he wants to fight when his head is spinning".

It took about 30 punches from Grant to drop AG. One big right hand got the whole thing started, though.

After Golota got up, Raby Neuman asks him, "do you want to continue?" Twice he asked him that...and Golota said no.

Afterwards, AG said he felt he was behind on the cards or the judges would screw him anyway...so he said no.

    KO'ing himself.
