I think most think Pac will beat Cotto. As he should. Cotto can punch but Pac is much superior and on the top of his game. Cotto is on the decline and will have tons of trouble doing with his speed. This is not important. Most are up on the whole Pac vs Floyd fight to happen. But really, do people think this fight will happen? I know people want it to... all boxing fans want this fight to happen. But as the way I see it the odds of it happening are about 50/50 and that seems generous.

Why do I say this? To me it feels Pac thinks he deserves more. I feel that Arum won't let Floyd get the advantage. Floyd want his money, and I don't see him agreeing to 50/50. He could eventually agree to a 50/50. I don't believe Floyd is dieing for Pac and I feel Pac might feel he doesn't "need Floyd" if the negotiations don't go well. What do some think about this? What are the odds that this event actually goes down?

People thinks this fight will happen because it has to happen. The two best fighters/boxers in the game against each other. This fight will save boxing.

we wouldn't be having this conversation if Money called out Pac AFTER the hatton/Pac fight.

Instead, he chose the easier route.

    I blame floyd 100 percent.

    I don't know you but... you're either

    A) An idiot
    B) A Pac nuthugger
    C) A Floyd hater
    D) B and C
    E) All the above

If you don't think Floyd shouldn't have had a tune up fight after being off for over a year than you're just ridiculous.

People keep saying this but how many times has a big mega fight that had to happen didn't happen. Think about that...

No, Pac(or Arum) already told floyd that they would do a 50/50 split(which is completely fail), but Floyd wants more than 50, so if it doesn't happen is because of Floyd. Or if Pac loses his fight against Cotto.

I hope Pac is looking past Cotto just like you are. It's too soon to say Cotto is on the decline. He lost once, and did not look good against Clottey, but many great fighters wouldn't. Pac has a lot of speed, but so did Zab. Cotto has shown he can handle speed. The one thing we haven't seen is if Pac can handle WW power. This is even what Roach is afraid of, which is why he says Pac is not going to stand and trade with Cotto. You got to be foolish to think Cotto will not land any solid punches in this fight, sooner or later he will land. The real question is if Pac can take it. He's been hurt and/or knocked down by small fighters (Morales, Marquez); imagine how 160 pound punches will effect him (Cotto will probably come in over 160 on fight night).

No. It has to be written in stone for me to think they will make this fight.

IF.... IF Pac beats Cotto, i think a fight with Floyd will happen, it will be no doubt the biggest fight in boxing OR ufc since... well, i guess Mayweather vs Oscar lol.... i think if done RIGHT, if mayweather does a sensational job and gets a stoppage over marquez, and pac vs cotto is amazing, that pac vs Mayweather could even outdue mayweather vs oscar....

I think that fight is bound to happen should both guys beat their next opponents.... nobody is THAT stupid to not make that fight at that point.

If both are successful in their next fights I don't see anything ruining this apart from greed and if Mayweather or whoever ruins it forever because of money then expect insults forever too and I won't argue with them at all. As a matter of fact, I'll be here to back these insults up if they don't happen for money regardless of who does it. All depends on how much both make in PPV numbers for their next fights and how they perform too of course. Mayweather looked boring to the public against Baldomir and was punished for it by DLH when he offered him LESS amount of money than previously offered and Mayweather didn't take more than 1 second to agree and sign the contract which was also packed with advantages for Oscar.

This is a fight that MUST happen. I hate to say this and completely disregard Mosley but that's how it is, can't have 3 of them in there like UFC or WWE in a triple threat hardcore all-out zoo rumble. Both guys know that this is THE event to make for boxing, greed shouldn't ruin it. 50/50 and let's get it on.

Don't disregard Marquez or Cotto, either fighter can win next and all discussions go down the drain. Let's wait for those two fights to end before starting serious discussions, for now that's all I have to say IF both guys are victorious.

Don't forget that Pac made it clear he's NOT retiring till he fights Mayweather and we all know Pac is always serious with WHOEVER he calls out. His team went far enough to start rumors about leaving Arum if he tries to ruin it with his bull****.

Very true, when Pacquiao is older and slower Mayweather will be younger and faster.
