Hopkins agreeing to the fight and accepting $3mill then demanding double the next day tells you Calzaghe was ducking Hopkins?

    Priceless!

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

That's the 'logic' you clowns use to justify your hate.

Must of happened in a dream, cos the flash knockdown didn't involve any hurt on Calzaghes part.He was up at the count of 2 and had all his faculties, the only hurt was BHops pride.:good

I find the idea that the Undisputed Middleweight Champion of the World, coming off the back of beating Tito Trinidad, was ducking an obscure WBO belt holder from Wales, quite amusing.

Now you just not making any sense. And you've resorted to using text speak. Well done, you're obviously a very smart and articulate individual and not at all a feeble little bigot/conspiracy theorist.

Well that's what I got from your post.

You mentioned Hatton getting his dream fight with Floyd as a comparison, but you failed to mention that Hatton's breakthough fight was against Tszyu in Hatton's backyard.

Regardless of what anyone thinks about the situation, it has been well-documented that Hopkins accepted the offer of $3million to fight Calzaghe in the UK, then a day later he demanded double, effectively killing the deal.

You're saying Calzaghe should have agreed to come to the US to fight Hopkins. If this was Hopkins' reason for killing the deal, why did he accept the $3million in the first place?

    That's nice.

I like how you use the various titles and belts in an attempt to belittle Calzaghe's ability at the same time as hyping Hopkins.

Perhaps you could provde an explanation of Hopkins' accepting $3mill one day then demanding double the next day?

    Over to you.

I was simply pointing out the difference between a legitimate champion (Hopkins) fighting credible opposition (Trinidad) and a obscure belt holder (Calzaghe) fighting very few fighters of note (Thorberry, Pudwill etc).

As for your second point, if someone said it on a internet forum, then it must be true!

i'm saying that beating tszyu WAS hatton's breakthrough fight but because he was with warren bugger all happened - and thats the same thing that happened to calzaghe.

hatton broke away from warren, cracked a floyd fight in 3 fights that was in a division stronger than calzagfhe's ever was and got his fight......

you can sell the "hopkins would fight for this" argument all day long, but if you grow some balls and MAKE YOUR OWN LUCK - which few british fighters are prepared to do - then you can get whatever fight you want if you really want to.

i'll say it again - calzaghe is a better fighter than hatton - but hatton said "**** the money, i want to find out how good i can be"# - and calzaghe didnt.

hatton doesnt need faded legends to justify his career. how can you not understand this? honestly...
