Rjj is one of the greatest fighters ever.IMO so is JOE Calzaghe.

Recently RJJ beat up and Got a stoppage win over Jeff Lacy. alot of his Rabid Fans (Some Sensless) have gone on rants about him being back,IF he can be top dog again , he's motivated now. , He can be p4p #1, or HE can still win a world title.

NO we al no that wasn't a prime joe in the ring with Rjj and Vice versa. but lets say RJJ did go on to b get back at top at 175 and beat DAwson and B-hop . how would you rate Joes Dominating win over RJJ ?

In all Honesty would you give Joe credit simple Answer yes or NO.

i give joe credit because he wasn't prime either. but if RJJ did manage to do all that i think it would pump up that win a little more.

I already did a thread on this mostly people said no Jones was going through a bad patch at the time and regardless of how he performed from the Lacy fight it was a dip in form when he fought Calzaghe.

Imagine if RJJ did achieve all of that, and then Calzaghe came out of retirement and punked him again!

Can you imagine the excuses that would be flying around on here about how RJJ was once again shot

In fact, how do all these people who rate RJJ again after his domination of Lacy rate Calzaghe's win over RJJ?

No doubt, according to them, RJJ was in a 'trough of shotness' as opposed to a 'peak of greatness' when Calzaghe fought him :yep

Peaks and troughs baby, y'all musta forgot

Calzaghe was something special, especially that night against RJJ. Saying that RJJ was "shot" is too simple a way of explaining what happened that night.

I give RJJ credit for coming back from that. One loss does not ruin a complete career as extensive as his. He has got personality and makes boxing interesting to watch.

Calzaghe's win is the same no matter what RJJ does next.

Roid Jones would lose to Calzaghe during their primes. Hell, Roid refused to fight Michalczewski.
