I just finished doing a brief write-up on this one.

I'm guessing it will be posted here sometime tomorrow if anyone is interested in reading it.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to participate.

Hope to see you all make your lists in the middleweight division, too.

Pretty fair list, though as great and imposing as Bob Foster was, I'd have both Conn and Loughran over him.

Good work Rumsfeld :good. This list worked out well, just done middleweights and it was a nightmare though.

So far, I think we have two admirable lists with the two divisions we did so far.

Hopefully, we will continue producing quality lists while these surveys run their course.

If anyone was interested, here was my breakdown on the light heavyweight division.

Is there a reason why some middleweights are in this list? Shouldn't a fighter be in the weight division he actually took part in during his prime or the majority of his fights?

I also think Roy Jones Jr should be on this list - if you consider how he might do H2H against the top 3 of Charles, Moore, and Tunney, it seems criminal to not even have him in the top 10. He was voted P4P best of the 90s, let alone the light heavy division, yet he doesn't get a look-in here? This is a clear case of classic forum prejudice against modern fighters (just like the general forum is prejudiced against old timers).

I guess we would all place them somewhat differently, and Fitz did little during his title reign . We could ask , how come no Harold Johnson,Jack Dillon,Jack Delaney,John Henry Lewis ?
But ,who would you leave out to make way for them? Pretty solid list imo,and a fine effort by Rumsfeld :good

It depends what you consider Fitz' title reign. The light heavyweight title didnt exist for the Majority of Fitz' title reign. When Fitz (as middleweight champion) won the Heavyweight championship, while still weighing under the light heavyweight (and the middleweight for that matter) limit, it was as good as the start of his light heavyeight reign. From this point on, what he did was pretty special for a light heavyweight, in fact i would argue that it was more impressive than what any other light heavyweight (as a light heavyweight) has ever done.

I consider his title reign from when he beat Gardner to when he lost to O Brien, how else am I to consider it?
One defence ,a 6 rd nws draw against O Brien then a loss to him ,this in a 2 year reign.
I would expect Fitz to beat Jack Root and Kid McCoy ,but maybe not at the stage he was when he won the crown from Gardner.

That is fair enough, too. But personally, I consider his reign to start from the point that he was considered the best light heavyweight in the world by the entire population, which started when he won the world heavyweight championship, for sure, but arguably it may have started 2 years earlier when he beat the second best light heavyweight in the world, Joe Choynski.

When Dempsey won the world heavyweight championship, did you not also consider him the best Cruiserweight champion also? If Archie Moore had been awarded the Cruiserweight championship of the World a few years prior to him challenging Marciano, would you limit your ranking of Marcianno as a cruiserweight to one title winning effort?

Fitz' work as a light heavy was absolutely astounding. More outstanding than any other light heavyweight has ever performed. The fact that most of it was also as a middleweight and all of it was as a super middleweight, simply makes it more impressive.

However, the credit belongs with everyone who participates and helps make these compilations possible.

I thank all of you for doing so.

Allow me to remind everyone who has not already done so to provide me with their bantamweight list.
