if joe is not a "A" class fighter then there has never been a "A" class SMW ever winning 1 world title you can do by luck and planning by picking someone you can beat. holding onto that title for 10 years does not take luck it takes skill no matter who you are put in the ring with. Unifing the devision takes a great
Very good. And very nearly could've been great, if he hadn't wasted so many years in the Warren Wilderness.
Very good. He didnt prove himself to be great. Poor management (no risks), Lack of opponents, etc. Only guy he ever rematched was Veit, and he beat him via first round TKO in their first fight
If you actually bothered to read the thread you provided a link to, you'd see that I make the case for and against Calzaghe, its called "being objective", you should try it sometime. Another halfwit to be added to my ignore list.
agree with the ts. he's the best of the B level champs - but by a long mile. i wouldn't argue too much if someone said he was the worst of the A level champs - again by a long mile. if he had beaten hopkins convincingly, i'd consider him a sure great, but hopkins won imo. bhop got in a lot of clean shots and all joe did was in terms of volume. a lot of punches but very few clean, and quite a lot hitting plain air. so, imo, he failed the only live elite fight he had.
Hes a great ! .... Unbeaten held a world title for 10 years , unified the division moved upto LHW and beat two Hall of Famers in Hoppo n Jones in there own backyard ... and IMO when Kessler wins the Super six you can then say JC was an amazing fighter as Joe beat Mikkel in one of the great fights ! ...
I'm not even a big Joe fan but when I see a guy like you, I know he's just a barely good poster, not a great one!
Ive seen that exact same line on here before, and the poster wasn't named El Cepillo.Just coincedence ?
