I've heard tyson say before that he felt fear, it's just how you make that fear work for you.

Did he ever say how he felt about fighting Ali?

Pre-Ali Liston has gotta be the most intimidating.

Nar, i just heard him say that he waited for his corner to tell him when to get up and when he did, the ref had reached ten. Not sure how much i believe that like, he looked pretty tired i thought.

Liston, when he was on the floor against Ali, Ali running round the ring telling him to get up because 'noone would believe this', apparently said something like (when asked about it), 'i'm in the ring with a crazy man, you want me to get up and fight a crazy man?'

Absolutely, depends who he was fighting though. I doubt McClellan and Barkley were intimidated until he hit them and then it was probably more suprise than intimidation. Alot of domestic fighters were no doubt scared witless of him though.

vitali klitschko , david tua , mike tyson
how about that : o'neil bell - if you knew his resume pre fight.

liston comes to mind , but i hadn't seen his fights enough , and according to his record , hard to rate him too high , look how ali got rid of him , although dubiously , his victories over patterson are somewhat understood. his oposition wasn't really that much . and before you jump to reaction - i didn't say he fought no one , just not that much.

I've always thought that all that talk by Foreman, and I've heard it from time to time, that he was "scared of " whoever, was just nice-guy, feel-good, mush-mouthed bull**** coming from the new, friendly, fat, bald warm and fuzzy, grill selling Foreman. He wasn't scared of ANYBODY back in those days..Frazier, Norton, Ali, and thats what contributed to his badass personna...just check out the "staredown" of the Norton fight...hell, Norton was petrified..ity's a good thing he didn't try to look up at Foreman...
