when no one know or cares who the heavyweight champ is.

and when tv in this country won't even pick up our fighters in world title fights.

    see froch-taylor, witter-alexander, woods-cloud etc etc.

Yep. One universal welterweight title hypothetically held by Mosley that Cotto, Floyd, Williams, Berto, etc are gunning for would be epic.

I mean consider this...the UFC WEIGH IN for 102 (The weigh in!) had more people in the stands than Taylor/Froch and/or Dawson/Tarver II.

Dont want to hijack thread but how can they have a weigh in 2 days prior? Is there a limit on how much they can gain?

I don't believe the UFC has two day weigh ins...they usually have it on Friday for Saturday, no different than boxing.

To be fair, I still haven't seen Dawson - Tarver II.

I bet Berbick - Holmes did better numbers in the parking lot.

It's actually NOT as bad as people say it is...although it is still pretty bad.

I mean people make it out to be some sort of Davaryll Williamson mess...it's not THAT bad.

Boxing is not dead. It's the third most popular sport in the world. So, that means Soccer and Basketball are the only healthy sports left if the third most popular sport is dead? Nope, Boxing won't be dead and I for one have never seen a sports funeral. Hockey is pretty much dead, but it isn't because lots of people like that sport and that's about the only sport i can see being dead, but as I said it isn't.

And a Hatton weigh in has more fans in the stands than any other UFC event as well! So is UFC dead now?

Boxing will never "die"...nobody is arguing that.

The argument revolves around boxing losing it's footing to other sports (the one we're discussing is MMA...although other sports could be sneaking up on it soon) because it's run by a bunch of morons.
