Uhh no I didn't. What I've explained, implied and then further detailed is that boxing is losing fans to MMA because it's run poorly where as the top MMA company is run very well. Further people have expanded upon it and explained how they know boxing gyms that are closing down or being converted into MMA gyms or point out the popularity of TapOut shirts in their schools. I don't expect anyone to read 30000 pages of it but at least have a basic understanding of the other side's argument before spouting off.
Well, there you go keyboard warrior good job that's all you had to say, but you had to go and make some classless insults. I expect somebody like you to say that though so why am i not surprised? Anyway, all those Tapout t-shirts are worn by white kids, in the States, who aren't mature and just want to look cool. Also, there still are more Boxing gyms here in the States than MMA gyms. Who knows it might change, but right now it hasn't. There you go again keyboard warrior keep it up. :happy
I called you dickless because you made a dickless comment. Make a smart one and I'll call you smart. It's not a difficult concept. Wrong. Of all the kids I interviewed for this report I'm doing (at least those who would participate), Half of the ones who owned Tap Out shirts were white. The other half ranged from being hispanic, to being from the Neatherlands to Denmark to Brazil and some african americans from my area. So no it's not as much a "white guy" thing as we want to make it seem. Well no ****. Boxing gyms have been around for houndreds of years. MMA gyms have just become more prevalent in the past few years. I'd bet you there are more karate schools/clubs than MMA and boxing schools but you don't see anyone running off about Tiger Schulmans do you? Make stupid comments, you'll get stupid answers. It's the rate of exchange at ESB.
Comments have dicks? Wow, that's something I did not know that. Interesting fact. Interesting, may'be that's true may'be it isn't I wouldn't know. I do know that UFC 100 barely had more buys than viewers of the Dachinyan-Agbeko fight. Around the world Darchinyan-Agbeko had more vieweres than UFC 100 buys. Eh, don't know don't care. So, your calling what I said a stupid comment, so you gave me a stupid answer I see. Great concept.
Well one cost 49.95 and one was on Showtime so it's not exactly a fair argument. In fact that's a pretty stupid argument. For instance if that's the case, Diego Sanchez' last fight on Spike had 3.2 million viewers which would absolutely smoke the top boxing event on HBO. That said I know SpikeTV is in more households than HBO...making it a relatively stupid argument. To judge buys vs viewers is stupid. The best way to do it is by viewers vs viewers or buys vs buys. UFC easily wins out in the buys department where as I'm not sure it's possible to do viewers vs viewers due to how different the whole landscape is. Much like Erik Morales, I play to the level of my competition.
Well, one would think UFC's biggest event ever would smoke anything on at the same time. I was surprised that Darchinyan-Agbeko was that high. So, no mister genius I don't think it is a stupid argument. Why don't you go do some research on that? I bet you would be surprised how many "stupid" people there are out there.
Not if one is relatively free and the other costs 50 bucks. Darchinyan is a relatively big ratings getter for a little fighter. Him vs Arce was very highly rated. I have? You can't compare television to buys. If that's the case then the highest rated/viewed event would still be a UFC event.
I think ultimately, we all want the same thing. We all want boxing to be on top and we all want boxing to be viewed as the top deal in the sporting world. We want the best for the fighters, the best for the networks to keep on SHOWING great fights and we want the best to be done to ensure longevity of a sport that has given us so many great moments. I just believe (as do a few others) that putting our collective heads in the sand and hoping that this MMA thing just "blows over" is a very bad idea. We need to change, this sport needs to change. When the fighters are openly dissing the sport and showing no respect towards it, you know it needs to be changed. I want the best for this sport and that's why I think we all collectively as the LIFE BLOOD of this sport should start thinking of ways to do that. It does no good to sit there and pretend this isn't an issue where as it does no harm to consider potential solutions. That's just my opinion though.
Your friend probably meant heavyweight boxing is dead The heavyweight division have suck for a couple of years now. At least it's getting a little better with new stars such as haye-arreola-chambers etc
