Even if Golota gets schooled by Adamek, I don't care.

The Foul Pole is fighting again! :happy

And that's what being a Golota-holic is all about, aint it? The build up to a Golota fight is always an exciting party. Of course it always has the potential to end very badly. But it'll be a party nonetheless! So drink up and enjoy.

    :party:cheers

Honestly, I don't think I'll have the same anxiety I have for normal Golota fights. Even when he fought Mollo, I wasn't expecting much.

Watching Golota fight was most nerve-wracking when he seemed to have a legit shot at winning a title and defending it.

Through his fight with Brewster, I still had that hope. It more or less came crashing down that night.

Prior to that? Hell, I was a little nervous when he entered the ring against guys like Corey Sanders and even Marcus Rhode!

I know what you mean. I was super nervous with the Mollo fight though. So nervous in fact, I decided to not even watch the fight. I completely expected him to get blown out in that first round. After the Lewis and Brewster debacles, I simply didnt have enough alcohol in the house to stand yet another.

Against a smaller guy like Adamek, I dont think I will have the same kind of anxieties either. Mostly because I dont think Adamek can hurt Golota.

I say that now, but come fight time I know those same old anxieties will once again emerge.

I REALLY want Golota to win at least one big one. After 13 years of egg on our face, we deserve that much!

OMG ... in that perspective Golota may enter P4P ranking by beating Adamek

You and Brisback may have to have a stooge contest to achieve that status. :D

I think most of us here have been die hard Golota fans for around the same time (mid 90s). We've all suffered equally.

I was referring to being a loyal member of the original Ultimate Golota Homepage, under the moniker of "Andrew", which is actually my real name.

I've followed Golota Pre-Bowe I fight, going back to when he was featured on Tuesday Night Fights on USA. I primarlily follow the Heavyweights, although I know the Heavyweight division has been down for a long time. It's something about watching those big slower punches, which I can follow, and looking for the big knockout.

I know absolutely nothing about Adamek, other than what's mentioned here. Never seen him fight actually. So I cannot see how people on this thread are torn about who to root for. Unless Adamek can be seen as the heir to Golota.

So I'll stick with my favorite but flawed fighter all the way.

    Go Golota!

I agree. Tomasz is too easy to hit on the world class level, but he hits really hard. We will know more on 24 October. Probably on the Golota background Adamek wouldnt be as easy to hit and possibly he will be very difficult to hit. Unfortunately his power cant be compared tith Golota's and will not have bigger meaning in the fight.
