You can quote me too. Williams will win by UD over Pavlik. Williams is a very good boxer, much better than Pavlik, and I'm not saying Wright is a hard hitter, but Margarito had bricks in his gloves and he couldn't knock Williams down.

I think Williams with his size can take a punch as good as Pavlik can, or Taylor, on top of being a much better and more active boxer than Taylor. Unless Pavlik can knock him out, he can't win.

I believe i'm right about this man. Would you agree that Pavlik vs Williams is the biggest non ppv fight in 2009?

This scenario would go along way in satisfying my boxing appetite; at least for a little while. :yep I will say that I much rather prefer PTP-Pavlik on 12/5 just because I'm impatient to see one of the most anticipated matchups possible in boxing; at least in my view. A Mosley-Clottey showdown on the 26th would be an excellent way to close out the year for the sport.

oh i believe you are right about this. and i agree that this is the biggest fight this year (obviously a biased opinion). and to be honest im also really looking forward to aa/taylor moreso than the other mega fights.

I bet ya when Pavlik vs Williams is officially back on for december 5th, "pavlik is champ" will post a stupid reply and say " Williams is stupid for fighting Pavlik. He's going to get destroyed. He stould have fought somebodyelse on oct 3."

that username should be banned for the good of the forum. i say username b/c i really don't think he's a pav fan at all, and maybe not necessarily a pav hater either; just some loser who likes to stir **** up.

ive heard everything negative about both of these guys and i still can't be convinced that boxing isnt better for having both of them. i cannot wait for this fight and do not believe for one minute the result is a foregone conclusion.

i disagree. When Clottey covers up and goes inactive Mosley will have a hayday with those bombs he throws and tehy will break through Clotteys guard. I think Mosley TKOs Clottey and Clottey will ***** about a robbery.

Well, is he as big, as tough and as strong as Pavlik? Because Williams comes to fight and he isn't hard to find, so strength is going to be important in this one.

:patsch Don't assume things. Margarito got caught with loaded gloves ONCE. There's no reason to believe he was doing it in a fight that took place the best part of 2 years beforehand. But, still, when Margo eventually did land, he did hurt Williams - PW backed up, put on his earmuffs and looked wobbly. He even admitted after the fight that he was hurt.

Now, in Pavlik, he's against a guy who isn't dwarfed in terms of height and arm length, or in terms of punch output. PW's luxury of being able to hit his opponents before they can even make him out isn't there. These guys will be trading punches with each-other, and Pavlik is a hell of a puncher at 160. What's stopping PTP getting smashed?

Are you crazy? Williams was buzzed at WW by a guy who isn't that big a one-punch KO artist. Pavlik went 12 rounds with a 185 pound Bernard Hopkins who landed at will, and KP and was battered from pillar to post with hooks and uppercuts and he was never really in trouble. But you think Williams chin is as good at MW as Pavlik's? :huh

Remember, we're talking who's better at 160, and not who's better P4P. Williams may be big, strong, powerful etc. pound-for-pound; but, relative to MWs, it's a different ball game.

Kelly was battling illness and multiple injuries in his last two fights. If the old KP that ran over Zertuche, Miranda, and Taylor steps into the ring against PWilliy, this fight will be competetive for 3-4 rounds. After that Pav will have his range and his timing down, and the post-pavlik Paul Williams will not be the same fighter as the pre-pavlik version.
