Korobov beating Jacobs in the amateurs isn't really a big deal considering the age difference(Korobov is 4 years older). But still, I think he has more going for him than any of the other middleweight prospects, even though he's already 26.
smw is a shark tank at the moment. there are some studs there right now. he should stay at mw if he can
Im English and i would love to see Korobov hand james Degales arse to him, which i think he would easily!
I have one concern about both Korobov and Jacobs. 160 is very shallow. After Pavlik ruins Williams there won't be much left for him. There is a chance either/both could end up in the ring with a beast WAY before they are ready. Somtimes that ruins young fighters.
Yeah i agree, that is a concern, he also needs to ensure he doesnt fight Felix Strum in Germany cos he is never getting a decision there!
We'll see. The only world prospect I am nearly 100% sure of right now making that elite jump is Lara. The rest things could quite easily go wrong, gamboa, wilder, rigondeaux, degale, etc etc included.
You guys do realize his amateur stoppage of Jacobs was an Outclass stoppage, right? Not like he completely knocked him cold.
I showed some of Korobov's stuff to some bxoing scribes, and their wrote back saying this guys awesome, how come I have not heard of him before.
I've watched the fight a few times, Koro was superior at that point. I still think Koro beats him right now. Not soon. I have high hopes for Jacobs in the next few years. I truly believe he will be one of those fighters that raises there game when facing the true elite. People forget how good ishe actuallly is by the way. P.s. to get what I mean, look who started the Daniel Jacobs express if you search for it, I am a huge huge fan of the boy, he is getting very underrated of his pro ability right now which makes me smile.:good edit - I'm melted so that post probably doesnt make sense,
im excited to see what korobov does, hes a great fighter already. he could easily move up the ranks and be looking at a title shot in the next 2 or 3 years, and hes going to have to at his, age, though id rather he got more time to develop at pro.
