    Well, Hopkins is certainly clever enough and smart enough not to play Tiger's game, and to go the route of outboxing him, but he would have to be a bit more mobile than he's been in recent years, and to jab and move...staying too long in one place and it's playing with fire..the strong man Tiger would eat you alive.

    Hopkins makes Tiger fight his fight, uses his rangyness and boxing skill in this 1 to evade and beat Tiger to the punch.

    Hopkins over 12, Tiger over 15 :D

    I do think that Hopkins is very very good at deploying whilst keeping out of bad trouble, getting his weight transferred quickly and then getting out of the way. Two things. He needs to be careful he doesn't lose rounds looking like a runner, and he's got to be careful he doesn't turn into a runner.

    Barring that, I would lean towards Hopkins.

    Hopkins should be able to stick and move effectively, but it's only a matter of time before Tiger gets to him. Tiger by TKO in rounds 10-12.

    Being the much harder puncher, I think Tiger goes a-hunting and eventually gets to him via pressure. Over time, I see Tiger's overall aggression taking its toll. Hopkins would give a good account of himself, but he never faced anybody like Dick Tiger.

    Yeah, that's how Tiger's ko's worked. Terry Downes described being hit by him as being "hit by a bag of coal, it hurt you all the way to your boots". But he wasn't a concussive puncher, at all. His KO% is not at all impressive. Having said that, he mixed at the highest level and only the toughest guys - Torres, Giardello, Fullmer, were able to take him the 15 at and around his prime. But I don't think that a primed Hopkins was less likely to go the distance than these men. His heart chin and toughness are all good and he's one of the few fighters in the divisions history that seems to have had comparable discipline, in and out of the ring. He is also every bit as cagey as the best Tiger matched, and defensively, he might be the finest.

    This one would go 20 rounds without a KO on either side, IMO.

    Only if Hopkins dosen't utilize his ring smarts and copy, more or less the template used so well in defeating Tiger..the constant, effective movement, the jab,jab,jab,jab,jab, all night long, like a trombone concerto,box, box, box, forsaking the lure of a punchout, or any macho ttype foolishness which would be the equivalent of throwing raw meat at the hungry tiger. Refer to the Giardello/Archer/Griffith playbook on this one Bernard..you're a crafty guy Bernard, no matter what that skinny white guy from Ohio,..Kelly whatshisname says..Yes, if he fights the right fight, Hopkins can win a decsion.

    I don't think it's a stretch to say that if Hopkins stuck and moved like he never did before, he would last 12 rounds....but lose by decision. But over 15, I think the tenacious Tiger would hunt down and execute Bernard.

    Do you think Tiger hit harder more consistantly? More steam in general?
