At this moment I am picking Vitali to stop Arreola in the 10th. However I have been watching many Arreola fights. This guy is really being underrated. Apart from the issue he has of being overweight in lots of his fights, I am starting to see he is way more skilled then people think or give him credit for. He is great at throwing combos and the punches are coming from very awkward angles in which I haven't seen from any other heavyweight as of late. In his fight against Witherspoon he came in at a much lower weight then he normally does, he was able to move much quicker and had faster hand speed. The guy has a lot of Heart and is not afraid to fight, but I also feel he is a much smarter fighter then many people seem to think. So my question to everyone is: What is the game plan you would would suggest for Arreola in order to possibly pull off a victory against Vitali? As I said I think he will be stopped Late, but if he shows up in good shape and fights smart . . .we just might have a whole different outcome in the fight. ........And please, no stupid remarks such as..."Arreolas game plan should be to hope Vitali breaks his leg before the fight" or "Arreola's gameplan should be to spend 10 hours a day at the all you can eat buffet, because he is just going to loose no matter what".... I seriously want to know what people think would be the best way for him to fight Vitali.
To fight inside-it's the only way. Get inside the jab, throw power shots in combination's and make into a brawl. If he stays outside he'll be dead meat. I also agree that this will be an exciting fight.
He needs to get inside and dominate in there. While he runs the risk of smothering his power, if he fights an inside fight he eliminates the jab of Vitali Klitschko. That is much more important as the jab of Vitali Klitschko is insanely sharp and powerful and is good enough to give Vitali the round. He should throw his combinations on the inside and before Vitali can really pop off in return, tie him up. It's the smartest way to stifle Vitali's work and in the process upset Vitali enough to potentially take him out of his game. Pressure is the key as well.
Pressure. Get rough in there with Vitali. I don't think Arreola is going to be in good enough shape to hang in there with Klitschko for more than 6 rounds Vitali is a big guy and he just pot shots you to death with the jab and then the slap hook and then starts throwing right hands to finish you out.
Yea thats why im leaning to Vitali stopping him at the moment. I havent seen him go 12 rounds, so Im not to sure he is capable of that. I think Arreola Ko'ing Vit is kind of unlikely, Vitali has a good chin and Arreola's Power will be reduced by punching upward.
Given Arreola's skill level and conditioning, here are my best plans for him to win: 1. Try to get Vitali to hit you low. Even if it's not low, any shot Vitali throws that is beolw the neck, act like you got hit low. Continuosly do this and try to win by DQ. 2. Try to get Vitali's corner man to enter the ring. Learn to speak German and hurl insults at the corner man about his mamma, anything that would provoke him enough to enter the ring and get Vitali disqualified. 3. Get someone to put plaster in Vitali's gloves before the fight. Then after you get KOed, make sure your manager asks the ref to check the gloves. The commsion will suspend Vitali and maybe you can get a fight for a title against someone who sucks like you do. 4. Trip Vitali. Try to trip him so that he twists his ankle and has to quit. Make sure it looks acidental or else you might get the DQ. 5. Try to fall on top of Vitali during a clinch. Having a 300 lb Mexican falling on top of you has to hurt. Do that as much as you can. 6. Pray.
Simple. Vitali should pay off the promoters or whatever to discard the ring girl and bring in a Ronald McDonald looky likey....ova
Arreolas only gotten into the 8th round once, who knows how much power he'll have(especially with his supposedly below average stamina) if it gets beyond that point. Best chance is to pressure for 5 rounds and hope to land something big.
