    Well, weigh it up:

JMM's last 3 fights: close fight (I thought he won) against Pac; then defeats the monster of 135 that is Casamayor (the lineal champ at the time); then takes on former undisputed champ, Juan Diaz in only his second fight at the weight.

Pac's last 3 fights: took a title fight against an obdurate (but by no means the best in the division) David Diaz; forced a weight-drained ODLH to retire on his stool; whooped the lineal champ at 140 in two rounds.

To me, it's close. You have to give it to Pac on career credentials at the moment, IMO:good.

Pac is the best boxer in the world. JMM is amazing though but Pac is a level above.

Pac is a little bit tailor made for JMM. It doesn't mean that JMM and Pac are equals just cause they fight close fights every time. Styles make fights.

so casamayor was a monster at 135 when jmm fought him while oscar was forced to be weight drained? last time i checked, oscar wants the fight at 147 and he was actually preparing to fight at the weight not for pac but against afloyd because floyd doesn't want to fight him at 154 again. it's just that oscar cherry-picked what he thought to be a little guy who he would just knock-out with just his jabs alone.

casamayor was a monster at 135, some years ago. but it was still a good win for jmm not because he was casa or not it was his lineal belt but because he stopped casa when no one ever have done this before while jmm was moving-up in weight.

If you have him winning his last fight with Pac, it's easy to make the case. He's fought nothing but top-level guys and has looked great every time. I'm not really fond of making these p4p lists but he'd clearly be the top guy in my eyes if he pulls it off on the 19th.... Big if
