The story does'nt have to be repeated. We each have our own interpretation of it.

Bottom line is that JMM-MAB was billed as an eliminator and it was all a lie.

......and it turned out that the discontent MAB left GBP anyways. GBP would'nt grease the judges palms so that MAB could get the decision he wished, and so MAB walked.

You very well know I'm a pacfan . . . and I'm happy that you are seeing it that way.

But it's not realistic . . . your arguement is based on what you think will happen. My arguement is based on what has already happened in their last 2 fights.

The previous two fights were close fights and I won't accept that description . . . that Pac will beat the **** out of JMM in a rubber match. :yep

it's funny why jmm-mab would be billed as an eliminator when it was mab who hold the titles (WBC and lineal) that time. so are you saying that pac was the unproclaimed champ at 130 that time?

it was suppose to be pac-mab rematch first before jmm-mab but due to the TR-GBP tussle, pac was left out in the cold and GBP forced mab to defend the title against jmm. the sequence should not matter here though. pac would still beat mab and jmm would still beat mab and we still would see pac-jmm2.

Pacquiao-Mayweather would generate about a billion buys here in America alone. I would like to see both, but yea everybody would want to see Pacquiao-Mayweather.

Sure it probably won't sell as much as a pbf-pacman fight but it would be big enough to be considered the biggest fight of the year. Two of the best this decade fighting each other to crown the best fighter of the decade.

Marquez has a huge following so as the pacman and both fighters are popular enough to capture the american fans to watch the fight. If pacman were to beat cotto and marquez is to beat mayweather, im sure boxing fans no matter what race/ethnicity they are would want to watch this fight.

What is so weird about it?

No REAL fan of a particular fighter would want him to lose to a fighter they don't like as much. That's ridiculous.

    This is elemental stuff.

either way, both are very big fights as it is.

    1. a fight between the p4p best and the former p4p best. a fight between the 2 best fighters this decade.

    2. a fight between the current p4p#1 and p4p#2 fighters in the world. a fight to settle a trilogy and who is better head-to-head between them.

    Like I said . . . that's the future we are discussing. :D

But fair enough . . . justification. That's how you see it . . . then nobody can take away from you.

I just really feel that like... as much as people feel that jmm has pac "figured out" he really doesnt and people just over rate it because they were really close fights

the reality of it is you could say pacman won just as much as you could say jmm won..... and at this point pac's confidence level is soaring and i dont really see any evidence to say jmm would do any better

basically pac would **** jmm up

Bad example, Frank Dux is the good guy PBF certainly isnt. However if Chong li were to lose to the guy from Revenge of the Nerds I would still enjoy that ending.

I don't understand why there such a debate??? I would of loved to see Mayweather v. Pacquaio when they were P4p#1 and #2... Fact is Mayweather has been gone, what two years, and noone knows what hes got anymore.. JMM v. Pacquaio pits the current p4p 1 and 2, current WORLD lightweight champ vs. current WORLD Superlightweight champ, and frankly 2 guys that are so well matched that in two fights with 4 knockdowns, there seperated by a POINT... I say lets see a third match. If Floyd shown he still has it, lets see him in there with Pacquaio. I don't see how Floyd has earned a crack at Pacquaio

Pacquaio has dropped Marquez four times over 2 fights and won the second fight only by a point.. I would say that for Marquez to keep 2 fights that close for spending as much time as he does on the canvas points to the fact he has pacquio figured out...

If JMM-Pac 3 were to happen and JMM losses, what significance does that bring. For one, I believe that JMM is slipping big time because father time is catching up with him. His recent wins were by KO but at what price. He is eating so much leatheragainst Juan diaz, even more than Malignaggi what absorbed. His only redeeming grace is that he won by KO.

So, the JMM -Pac 3 is just a one-sided opportunity - chance for JMM to avenge hsi loss (or losses). For Pac, it would be a hollow victory. If the fight happens next year, JMM would be approaching 37, not young in these divisions.

To give an example - Pac vs. EM 2 and 3. Pac won't get credit for those wins without prejudice and malice, although EM was still young at that time. How about a 37 year old fighter who is exactly not hard to hit anymore plus post-mayweather. I am sure that Pac won't get an iota of credit.
