Nasty fight, but I see Urango winning. He could take what Maidana could dish out, but I don't know if Maidana could take Urango's power for long.
urango has problems with "boxers" or faster fighters, hatton was faster, i could see him having his moments, but maidana has enough skills to outobx him...
i dont think there great, but urango has horrendous skills, and i'm a urango fan, would be supporting him, but maidana is faster then urango, which he struggles with...
Maidana is quite underrated. He has faster hands than people would think and this awkward puncher showed some decent skills vs. Kotelnik. The Ortiz fight was an all-out punch-fest from the very moment (about a minute into the fight) both guys realized it's getting a KO or getting KO'd, so they said 'f*ck the boxing, let's finish this ****'. Maidana is a busy knockout artist and Urango offers a lot of openings. Chino countered the very quick Ortiz with a beautiful right, and Urango is absolutely open for it, especially early, as he's a very slow starter. On the other hand, although Ortiz is a KO artist himself, Maidana's chin didn't seem solid at all. So Urango going down once again to come back and finish the other puncher off would be my pick at this moment, although I feel there's room for improvement in Maidana's game. The LWW division is incredibly exciting.
As open as Miranda is for right hooks from the southpaw stance and as powerful as Urango's right hooks are I think Maidana would hit the canvas hard!
Urango is an elite fighter but has problems against slick and speedy boxers...Im sure he can beat many other top fighters alone on his brute force...
