Now this would be an interesting fight. Cloud vs Hopkins, Dawson, or even Kessler, Dirrell or ward hell even Taylor would be somewhat UGLY. Cloud I dont think would be able to handle elite level fighters that box. Give him someone that would stand in front of him he has a shot. Im just not sold on Cloud, I think that he is too slow and too easy to hit. Wood did a decent job of busting the kid up.

    Cloud would knock Froch out.

Froch is a big guy for 168. Any more weight on that frame and I'd be scared to think how slow he would be.

People saying Woods could hurt Cloud/affect him??????

I would have to say Cloud, stoppage. He has poer and Froch has no defence.

Froch has no intentions of moving up in weight. He walks around at 172, so the question is irrelevant I'm afraid

sorry am i missing something here ? did anyone posting actually see the fight ?

i may be in a minority but cloud left a lot to be desired,i was not impressed !!

there was quite a lot of hype surrounding cloud,i thought this guy was a KO artist and was going to demolish the old warhorse ? "future of the lightheavyweight division" :think

strong, raw and one dimensional the guy ate jab after jab off of woods,in fact he looked quite lost in there at times and was stung on a couple of occasions..

woods is a fighter known for not travelling well combine that with the fact hes 'shot' yet was able to trouble the young gun ummhhhh me thinks jeff lacy mark 2 is a coming, pascal would beat him.

Woods hits like a little girl compared to Froch.

Cloud is easy to hit and that wont work against the Cobra. Not at all. Carl is an excellent finisher.

Excellent post Socrates.I too noticed how easily Cloud was there to be hit with a jab and not to mention the fact that a couple of times Cloud left himself wide open.

    Agree.

Flat-footed small fighters had better possess lightning speed or extraordinary craft, and Cloud really doesn't. I don't want to write him completely because this was a big step up for him, but he got hit cleanly all night and was available for power shots that Clinton simply cannot unleash.

I don't see Froch effective at LHW and Cloud has never made anything even close to 168, so this would seem to be very unlikely.

Froch has a deceptively good jab. Cloud is kind of open for those.
