He says the recent announcement from GPP and Mayweather promotions that the fight will be shown on the big screen is an indication that they do not believe the fight will sell.

Roach says, "They have already given up on the PPV audience. They know it is not going to sell. Someone is going to take a bath in that fight."

Roach also does not see the fight as being an exciting one becasue of their fighting styles. He said Mayweather is not an aggressive fighter, nor does he believe that Marquez as the one to make the fight.

"The styles just doesn't match up. Styles makes fights. People know the styles of both by nature are counterpunchers."

Roach goes on to say, "Marquez has changed his style somewhat; he is more offensive, but, still his best fight is as a counterpuncher. That's why he did so well against Pacquiao because Manny is so aggresive and he is used to attacking so much that his counterpunching style is great for that. When he doesn't have a guy that comes to him, he is not as effective."

he didn't **** talk about other fighters here.'

I think he's right, most people will find this fight boring. I know I will love every second of it.

Marquez recently said in an interview when asked how he would counter Mayweather's speed and size

"you've got to come in and bob and weave and bend and make him miss and then counter him and wait for the right moments and pick your shots."

He is probably telling the truth which more often than not annoys huggers like you. The guy is boxing's Nostradamus. You should give him credit for that.

The movie idea is funny. There's going to be all sorts of violence in and around these cineplexes when the time comes. Watch. I almost saw a brawl last night between a bunch of knuckleheads all charged up just because a ****ing Mayweather/Marquez poster was up in the lobby at the AMC theater. I might have to go just to get on the news.

If he's right then it's a bad thing for boxing. Any normal/real boxing fan and not a fanboy of handpicked fighters wouldn't be happy if the fight didn't sell.
