Now that they're both talked about professional prospects at Middleweight, I thought I'd post this video of them as amateurs. Both are very good fighters and I like both a lot; it was a fairly interesting fight they had back in 2005; although you can see how much stronger Korobov was. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGZEe7y3Z7o
cheers kolya, was very surprised to see such a wide gap, i really like korobov a lot probably my favourite prospect after being told he was a star in the making a few years before he turned pro although i dont know what happened in his last fight he looked poor, he owned jacobs in that fight
Probably didn't want to drop to 69kg; he had won the USAs at 75 and I'm pretty sure Demetrius Andrade won 69.
Very true, I could post videos of Danny fighting Shawn Estrada in the USAs or Shawn Porter at the Olympic Trials; both of whom are very tough, and he doesn't look nearly as out of his depth as he does here.
I just don't understand why I don't see more Russian fighters, are they like Cuba where they can't escape???
No, they just mainly fight in Germany, they aren't as marketable in the US. The reason Korobov is here is because his parents live in Florida.
Ohh, damn if the rest of the Russians fight like Korobov, and come down to the U.S. I'm sure most of the weight classes are going to be swept out
