Ball in your jaws... He did not choose hop, Arum did. Word is PAv did not even want the Hop fight fight, and I sided with Pav on that. This is one of the many reason why I don't like Arum. Arum lines his own pockets up and you know it...stop lying to us.

Which is why he moved out of the MW division directly after those fights, right? I didn't consider those fights wins for Taylor in the first place, so it's hardly an excuse to take away from them.

Any MW, or only MW's that were around at that time? I don't understand half the things you write.

My ignore list keeps me from seeing a good portion of this. Including the thread starter. Oh well, going back to doing something productive with my life. I hate when that happens.

You are wrong 90% of the time but this time youve made a pretty decent point.

Yeah. I know. Pdub fans have to have SOME empathy when it comes to the hate. Most of the people on my ignore list are haters. Not just Pavlik. I figure they aren't fans, they just get some stupid pleasure out of 'typing tough' on a web forum about boxing. :nut

Pavlik is worthy of heavy criticism right now.

    This is the pertinent point.

Hopkins fought Daniels and Hakkar in his next two fights after being recognised as lineal champion. Toney fought Reggie Johnson and Francesco Dell'Aquila. There's some less than stellar opposition there.

people pick and choose when they want to be good posters & idiot posters.... i'd rather be a good poster 100% of the time.... i just dont understand how some of these people are full fledged adults acting the way they do

    sharing your opinion is fine

but acting like a jack ass is not good

After his McCall loss, Lewis had had a very plain couple of defenses (was even losing to Bruno) capped by an early round ko to a B-level fighter with no truly significant wins. Terrible champ.

Let the guy finish his career.

And your pedanticism is stupid. He's had a solid string of opponents in the last 2 years (2 softies, 4 very tough fights) which is far more than most can say. Your cherry picking of facts proves nothing.

To be fair there's not much talent at middleweight other than williams-sturm. Abraham already moved up to 168. anyways pavlik is not done yet. he is still young and can still fight the future middleweight stars. hopefully he can recover soon and fight williams. Anyways he still has a long ways to go and he can still become one of the best middleweight of all time.

Taylor 2x- miranda... williams name might be in this list soon.

Pavlik's reign is still ongoing, but for his first 2 year reign as lineal middleweight champion is very dissappointing to say the least. He defended his title of the division only twice and they were to Lockett and Rubio.

He only has the hunger to take something away from someone and doesnt have the hunger to defend what hes got.
