Back to topic, I am sure DeGale will be ready for his WBO intercontinental title challenge any minute by the sound of it.

If his promoter had any real confidence in him he would be fighting six rounders by now instead of wasting time with pointless four rounders.

I like DeGale more than I liked Khan at this stage of both their careers. Not that I've ever disliked Khan either but I like DeGale's crude honesty and arrogance that he just can't help.... it's like he tries not be cocky so much that it just spills out of him like over flowing pint glass.... I like.

In summary, DeGale never said either of those things. He just quoted what someone else told him and also said:

'Unfortunately I did not get the chance to spar with Floyd as I am too big'
