It shows you that Oscar wasn't as shot as people make him out to be. He beat the crap outta Mayorga before the PBF fight remember this is the same Mayorga who gave Shane fits. He also fought PBF at a weight he was alive at and not dead and drained like 147.
Yeah right. Too bad his history doesn't agree with you. He can't beat the elite he can compete but always comes up short and has trouble with guys with speed, movement and defense.:deal So what we have to go on is PBF fighting at a weight he didn't belong at beating Oscar clearly and Oscar coming off a good win against Mayorga at a weight that suited him better than PBF. Who doesnt dumbass? The fact is that a way past it Oscar almost beat him and a younger,stronger and faster Oscar would knock him out but we all know that fraud would never fight a prime Oscar.
Prime Floyd isn't at 147 and Oscar's frame obviously handles the higher weights better. Oscar 80/20 at 147 50/50 at 140, 135 Floyd 90/10 at 130
Considering Oscar hung in there punch for punch with Floyd well past his prime, and was leading him on the scorecards after 8 rounds, I think it's pretty elementary to come to the conclusion that Oscar would have beaten him decisively at his best.
How could you conclude? What part of Oscar can't beat elite fighters don't people like you understand. He would still have the same problems with PBF at 147 in his prime as he did with him at 154 a weight PBF had no business at I might add. PBF is the better fighter and people need to get over their fantasy of Oscar being so great he was a good media fighter but simply wasn't elite.:deal Elites win more often than not when they face other elite fighters and Oscar didn't

thats right. i can't believe how many people actually think oscar has the skillset to beat floyd prime for prime. you're talking about a HOF fighter against a great one - which floyd is.
Well, he was younger, faster, dare I say it, more powerful and wasn't scared to let it go. The Oscar that fought Floyd was the same one Freddie said couldn't pull the trigger, and Freddie would know seeing as he cornered him in that fight. I actually think that was the fight that led Freddie to start believing Oscar just couldn't do it anymore. If you put the Oscar, or Shane for that matter, that fought around the time of their first fight in with PBF, Oscar and Shane would have beaten him.
Well, seeing as Old Oscar was beating Floyd the first 8 rounds of their fight is pretty damn telling.
What fight were you watching? The one I watched saw PBF landing the cleaner and harder blows reduced Oscar's aggression to ineffective, took away his jab, had Oscar scared to let his hands go in the middle of the ring of fear of being countered clean and PBF was the general in the ring.
