Prime Oscar vs Prime Floyd...Who Wins?

He couldn't pull the trigger on faster fighters especially ones with movement and defense. Do you not remember a prime Oscar getting out landed, schooled, clowned and dropped by a shot cracked out Pea?:deal

 

A prime Mayweather got a split decision against a 34 year old boxing promoter. Wow.

 

That should have been a UD at a weight he had no business at.:deal

 

Why do people keep bringing up "split decision" as if it means anything? Do you honestly believe Oscar won that fight? Are you going to tell me that Juan Diaz lost to Michael Katsidis too? That fight was a split decision...

 

I saw Oscar trying to fight by constantly coming forward and he was landing just as much as Floyd and was actually throwing combination's compared to Floyd backing up throwing the odd counter. Emmanuel even said if Floyd doesn't start to fight he's going to lose. PBF was afraid to stand and trade with Oscar in the first half to 2/3 of the fight, mind you I can't blame him. Once Oscar started gassing, Floyd started sticking and landing more, winning him more rounds in the last 1/3 of the fight.
A younger Oscar would have been able to keep the foot on the gas a little more, and the extra speed Oscar possessed would have been a huge factor.

 

This thread should be prime vs prime at set weight class like 135.

 

Fraud ain´t no Sweet Pea the fact that Pea was more impressive against prime Oscar than fraud was against a semi retired boxer/promoter just shows you that fraud isnt on Whitaker's level.

No way, I have that Pea fight. Oscar was off balance and glove touched the floor. That wasn't even a flash knockdown and you know it. Do you remember the swollen eye that pea could barely see out of? lol All Pea did was clown; he didn't do fuk all else.

 

What you fail to mention is that this fight was at 154 a weight PBF had no business at. PBF would have been better at 147 then he was at 154. If he was good enough to beat Oscar at such a high weight he would be good enough to beat him at 147. The same problems Oscar had at 154 would be there for him at 147 mainly Oscar not being able to land on PBF cleanly with anything of note and his left hook being nullified. PBF would have done the same thing but would have had more movement and been faster. I actually think he would have beaten him worse at 147.

 

Oscar was put on his ass at 135 by lesser fighter than PBF. PBF would only beat Oscar worse the lower you go in weight fool as he was much better than Oscar at those weights.:deal I never once said PBF was a better fighter than Pea with that said both are superior to Oscar.

 

Oscar lost due to running out of gas in the last four rounds, something he didn't do with Ike.

If the fight had ended after eight rounds, Oscar would have won by WIDE UD.

He stopped using his jab and was easier to hit, and lost the last four rounds.

he was 13 lbs bigger than PBF...that is not a fair fight and running out of gas is not an excuse...PBF beat him and it was even after 8 if not PBF winning so cut the **** with the oscar was somehow dominating him...

 

I had Oscar winning 2,3,4 6,7 and 8.

In other words, a draw.

One of the judges had it similar, with the 12th thrown in as well, giving him the win.

While I scored it a draw, I feel the SD win for Floyd was a fair decision. Floyd won 9, 10, and 11 by the clearest margins of any rounds by either fighter.

 

Oscar's best weight IMO was at 147 during his prime. Granted PBF would be better there too I'd still take Oscar -- in his prime.
