If Manny always fought the best

    1) Why when he moved up to 135 did he fight the weakest named fighter in the division? He could have fought JMM again, Juan Diaz, Nate Campbell, Casamayor, or hell even,Katsidis. No, instead he fights David Diaz.

    2) Manny fights Oscar De La Hoya at 147, if he wanted to fight the best why didn't he do what Floyd did and fight him at his best weight, 154?

    3) He fights Hatton, a fighter who was KO'd by Lazcano and by Floyd, instead of fighting the best at 140, Holt, Torres, Bradley, Campbell, Urango, Alexander, or Witter all better fighters at 140 than Hatton at the time Manny fought him.

    4) At 147 he wants to fight Cotto, but not at the WW limit, the same limit he had no problem fighter ODLH at, no he fighters Cotto at 145. To top it off, the fact that he is fighting Cotto is a joke, especially when the #1 rated WW is Shane Mosley, who was begging for a fight with him.

Manny is being managed very carefully at 135 and above I don't think he is the best in any division, no where near it.

How about chill with the Pac cocksucking threads for a while & let JMM & PBF get their shine for a minute...

No explanantion needed why he's the best right now. These types of threads will just invite hate. Let Manny's fists do the explaining and the boxing fan's eyes do the understanding.

This thread is utterly unnecessary, if you like Pac you already know it you dont need reminding if you dont like him it will just rile the people who dislike him as I suspect you are trying to achieve. I do think hes the best fighter of his generation by the way.

    1) a win over jmm at 135 would only be regarded as a second/third one against the same 126 fighter in oposed to a win over a legit 135 fighter who also holds a belt , and was really not that weak.
    2) now , seriously : Manny at 154 .
    3) hatton was not KO'd by Lazcano , he won that fight. Hatton was certainly the man at 140 at the time they fought.
    4) about this i somewhat agree.

    1) A win over JMM at 135 would be his actual 1st uncontested win over JMM if he could actually do it. David Diaz was a joke and was only a paper champ. To try to use him as a legit test at 135 is a ****ing joke and shows how weak your argument is.

    2) Seriously ODLH at 147, see I can do stupid **** too.

    3) Hatton was KO"d by Lazcano, Brit refs saved his ass, but everyone saw it. Hatton was not the man at 140 when the fought, he was a joke, since he got the title in that he never fought a top 10 Jr. WW fighter his whole "reign"

last october i made a thread asking if in 2009 pacman beat dhl, hatton, and cotto or pbf would you rank him in your top 10 atg and the majority of replies said yes.

he beat dhl and hatton so when he beats cotto and pbf i expect everyone to giv him his due

I'm not trying to rile anyone up. Just stating the facts. Sure he could have fought Cambell at 35. But do you really think he was a bigger threat than Hoya? Even as old as Oscar was he was more of a threat than any lightweight out.

The reality is this David Diaz was as good a champ as any other at the time. Arum wqs gonna get that belt regardless. Who in reality was so much better than David at that time?

seriously how did we know delahoya was going to mess up at that weight. ad seriously how did we know hatton was going to fight that type of fight. you are basically calling pac a cherrypicker through hindight. anyone can discredit a resume through hinsight.e.g through hindsight juan diaz is a average fighter and casamayor is shot. its just stupid, i remember people saying any vrsion of delahoya shot or drained would beat pac.at least be consistant, if you feel someone is shot say it before the fight and not after.
