I understand you guys feeling like Pac needs no boost. Because he doesn't! But I woke up this morning and felt a certain way and wanted to say it. I'm happy to have a recognized world champ who takes on the best and is recognized for that. It is as great a time in boxing as Tyson, Leonard , or Duran. Something we will all remember.

How did we know? Lets see maybe because he hadn't fought at 147 for over 7 years.

How did we know Hatton was going to suck? Easy he got KO'd by Juan Lazcano.

I really don't care what you remember about what other people were saying. I called the De La Hoya fight and the Hatton fight, this **** is pathetic. Trying to praise Manny for beating a weight drained and faded Oscar at 147. LOL. Try again.

Yes, Campbell at 135 would have been a bigger threat than Hoya at 147, that is easy as hell to see and assume.

The reality is Davis Diaz was a paper champ who no one cared about and still do not care about. He was no where near the class of the division, he was an easy belt for Pac to collect on his road to making "history"

You are delusional. Diaz had a solid record and actually came down from 140. He was a very strong lightweight. He got a bad rap because he had a very tough fight with Morales who Pac had just destroyed. Don't forget Diaz beat up SantaCruz and was very formidable.

Really Campbell even you can't believe that?

i'm sick of these Pac is god threads. dudes has been carefully matched against good opposition at the right times in their careers outside of their best classes

As a matter of fact give me a half believable game plan Nate would go about getting a W.

I understand where you're coming from. But these words of joy can be best shared at Pacland, not ESB where there are more non-Pac fans. It's like you'd rather celebrate a Lakers finals victory in Boston, rather than in LA.

Diaz was the weakest titlist in the division, hell the only major belt holder who hadn't faced Juan Diaz yet, since at the time Juan had 3 belts.

Diaz struggled against a shot to hell Morales and you want to say the guy was good? Who cares that he came from 140. Who cares that he beat Santa Cruz? He was nowhere near the class of the division, so quit trying to inflate Pac's accomplishment. He beat a titlist at 135, good for him, how about do what JMM did, clean house in the division by atleast beatings atleast two Top 5 fighters in the division. If Manny did what JMM did I would respect his supposed accomplishment at 135, but he went down the easy path.

    1) i didn't understand the 1st uncontested thing
David diaz was a weak paper champ yes , but also was a legit 135 - he fought 147 and 140 before , he also was more durable than both odlh and hatton and in some sense than jmm also . i didn't say he was a legit test at 135 , but for me pac gets an exemption from that test , only for his performance above it. he just needed the 135 trinket for promotional and 'legacy' reasons.
    2) that **** is more stupid than pac at 154.
pac was never any close to fighting 154 , oscar began at 130 aged 19 ,
he made 147 until he was 28 , so him at 147 is not absurd at all.
    3) so stopping malignaggi who went the distance with cotto which remained his sole loss until then is not fighting a Jr. WW fighter for you. btw : the time of his reign since the lazcano fight to now is not that long - and the malignaggi fight in it. you can't blame him for agreeing to fight pac , that was both a money and legacy fight.
do you have a youtube link or something else to prove that lazcano KO'd hatton ?

Pac is the P4P best, imo. He's earned it. After he destroys Cotto, they're will be no doubt.
