If the fight goes ahead, Burns wide on points or possible late stoppage, think Burns is far too slick for Mitchell.
is it wraps you must be well informed? funny you know before ricky, me and his manager,go check out your info mate.if it is i'm delighted, ricky will then become no1 with the WBO and become the mandatory, will kevin risk that,he shouldn't should he?
That's the last thing Burns ought to be aiming for :yep Does his credibility no good what so ever. Target the European title and a crack at the WBC or IBF :good
Funnily enough, Mitchell's IBF ranking is very good (top 3 I think prior to the injury lay-off). So if they fight and Burns wins, he has a chance of fighting for the IBF strap as well. Let's see how it all pans out:good.
The thing I hate about British boxing is the constant lookout for a weak champion. Warren did it with Naz - Steve Robinson, Khan - Kotelnik.... Maloney is doing it with Munroe. Why not just take on whoever you are obliged to fight, or fight for the title at the right time? One of these days a British fighter is going to be waiting for a weak champion for so long that by the time one comes round they are pretty much past it themselves. Mitchell was top 3 with the IBF, yes..... I think the thought process was to look in that direction if Cook held on to the title, as they are good mates. Any news on Cook btw?
i dont need to check my info mate, thought you'd got the call, well if he does a job on mitchell i hope he goes on to smash martinez, has for the risks for mitchell let him worry about that, all im saying is this will be a great fight for the boxing fans
so you call this sensible and non confrontional, your the arrogant one, everyone else on here is giving it tit for tat, your the only one getting upset mate
its bang out of order bringing anyones family onto any forum ,ive meet kevin on a few occasions and is a top wee guy
Burns has been looking good, but all I can think of is Mitchell’s sharp punching early against Carl then, after being shaken and looking worn, coming back roaring and showing the difference between a brave loser (Burns) and a heroic winner (Mitchell). I see Kev winning this. He’s a better puncher, more talented offensively and has the guts needed to take punishment to give his own. Burns will have some success with his jab and movement, but will start catching shots when he tries to band with Kev and slow for the middle portion of the fight. After a brutal shellacking from rounds 7-9, Burns will fail to come out for round 10 with a compassionate retirement. And I’m Scottish before the “bias” pish starts up.
